Not Everyone Has a Happy Ending

"Daddy! Can you tell me about the story Great Uncle Natsu told you? Y'know, the one about the pretty girl!" the little boy asked his dad.
"Hmm..." the dad thought, "I guess it wouldn't hurt to tell you the story again, but you do know that Natsu isn't your real uncle? He was just a friend of my dad and mom, Gray and Juvia."
"Uhuh! I know Daddy!" the boy nodded enthusiastically eager for his dad to tell the story.
STORY MODE!!!! (>•+•)> <(•+•<)

Once upon a time, there was a boy and a girl. Natsu and Lucy. They were the best of friends, they went on all sorts of adventures together. One day they fell in love with one another. Soon, they admitted their love for each other.
One day, on a mission together, they were fighting a vicious beast. This beast had mystical sleeping powers. Soon the two mages had run out of magical power. The beast was about to cast a spell on the man, not knowing what it was the girl jumped in front of it to save her love.
It was true love, and true love only that could defeat the beast and that is what happened. But in the end, the girl was still affected by the spell. She fell into a slumber (AN: Slumber sounds so much cooler than coma). Days passed, years passed, and she still hasn't woken up. The funny thing is, she doesn't age.

OUT OF STORY MODE

"Daddy!" the boy yells excitedly, "Can we visit the girl from the story tomorrow? It's going to be her 100 year annoversary, she might wake up!"
"Sure, okay," the dad said grudgingly.
"I wonder what color her eyes are? Ooh! What if she wants to be my friend!" the boy said preparing for tomorrow.
"I have a letter to give her from your Uncle Natsu," the dad said trying to make the child happier.
"OOOH! REALLY!" the child said even more excited, "Maybe if Lucy wakes up, mommy will wake up too!"
The dad grunted in pain, the child still hadn't understood the concept of death.

*That night at 12:00*

"Natsu!" the girl woke up with a start not knowing where she was, "Natsu? Where am I?"
A nurse came rushing in, when she saw the girl awake she gasped, she was asleep for so long and now here she is, eyes open. Blue eyes stared into brown one filled with pain, "Oh my!" the nurse gasped, "Y-Your awake!"
The girl, ignoring the nurses comment replied, "Oh, you, where's Natsu? He's got pink hair and he's a fire dragon slayer!"
The nurse flinched, she didn't want to be the one to break the news to the poor girl, "U-Umm, you've, you've," she didn't know what to say, "DOCTOR! (AN; no not the doctor)" the nurse shouted.
A man in a white lab coat came rushing in, he gasped at the upright girl. Her hair now falling of the bed making a puddle looking circle of hair on the ground, "Umm, you're awake?" He said, also surprised.
"Yeah, no sh1t sherlock! Now tell me where is Natsu Dragneel, y'know, pink hair, fire dragon slayer?" the girl said in annoyance.
"You've been asleep for 100 years, I'm sorry to say that everyone you've ever known is dead but some relative might be alive, I know a boy and his father who come every now and then, the father is the son of Juvia an Gray Fullbuster." the doctor informed the girl.
Tears formed in her eyes and she broke down, "B-But me and Natsu (AN: plz excuse the bad grammar there, the girl is sad, ignore it), we-we were supposed to have a family a-and live happily ever after like everyone el-else!" the girl whined, "Kill me now! I don't want to live if I can't have my happy ending!!!!!" she yelled at the doctor.
"I can't do that," he turned to the nurse, "Amy, get the memory shot," he said sternly.
"B-But; we can't erase her memories if she doesn't want us to!" the nurse protested.
"She wants us to kill her! Taking away her memories is basically doing the same thing!" the doctor said not wanting to do this at all, by then the girl had fallen back asleep, tired from her ranting. (AN: they ended up not taking her memories away, just the memories of them talking.)

That day, thousands of people came to visit the girl who was asleep for 100 years. Two of them being a father and his son, they were waiting for Lucy to wake up again. She slowly opened her eyes, the little boy shouted happily, "Daddy! Grandpa's friend is waking up! She's waking up!!"
"Who are you?"she asked the little boy.
"Me?" he said confused, she nodded her head, "I'm Gray and Juvia's grandson!" he said very proud of this fact.
"Really!" she said.
"Where's Natsu?" she asked the man forgeting about earlier that day.
"Daddy! I think she want to hear the story that Great Uncle Natsu told you!"

(The next part is really stupid an I don't recommend you read it)

100 years later

"What happened next?" the young girl asked her mom.
"Well, the girl was so heartbroken that she had all her memories erased except for educational. She because very famous and popular. And sure she *liked* people, but she never truly lived anyone ever again," the mom said.
"Mom?" the girl questioned.
"Yes dear?" the mom like down at the girl on her lap.
"Why couldn't she have her happy ending?" the little girl asked.
"Well, that's just the way the world works, not everyone can have a happy ending, no matter how strong there love is." the mom said with great wisdom in her voice having experience this herself with her love Nathan, where he died. She still remembers the tree they carved their names into.

*Nathan + Lucinda* (AN: SEE WHAT I DID THERE? Well I do so shut up! (<that was me talking to ma sis))

If I owned Fairy Tail Natsu would find Igneel and Lucy would turn into a dragon slayer because her mom was the dragon queen! (>•=•)> <[Dont judge me!]
