I wake up to a bright light. I squint and finally look up to see Ty smiling down at me.
"Hey sleepy head" he said
"Hey mop head" I replied back. Ty chuckled and stuck his tongue out at me making me stick my tongue out back. He started making funny faces and I couldn't help but laugh into the covers. Just then the nurse came in.
"Hello dear" she said in a happy tone
"Hello mam" I said being polite
"I have good news for ya'l, Ty's blood pressure and heart rate are back to normal so you two can go home"
"Ok, but can we have a moment?" I asked
"Sure thing dear" she said leaving the room and closing the door behind her.
"What's the matter?" Ty asked
"Where are we going to go. I can't go back home my aunt will kill me if she found out I was with you again! And what if on the way back the boys come to hurt you again?"
"First off, don't worry about the boys and me. Second off, you can stay at my place." Ty said in a stay-happy tone
"Ok....but what abound your mom and dad? Would they mind?" I asked. And as soon as I said it Ty's smile disappeared.
"What's wrong Ty?"
"It's nothing..."
"You wouldn't have a frown if it was 'nothing'"
"It's just that...I....I do t have a dad..." As soon as he said that I felt so bad for asking my question.
"Ty..."
"What happened was..." He started tearing up
"Ty you don't have to-"
"No. I do. You deserve to know"
"Only if you want to"
"Ok.." He took a big breath "when my mom and dad found out she was going to have me my dad was happy. He started buying things for me and going to work later and later to pay for the stuff. But... He started drinking more too. One day he was so durn he slapped my mom for no reason, she got mad and yelled at him. He punched her and she went out cold. And when she woke up.... He was gone. She had me 4 months later and my dad never came back." Ty finished his story and I hugged him.
"I'm so so sorry Ty!" I yelled into his chest while weeping.
"It's not your fault, you didn't know" it went silent except for my heavy breathing.
"We should go now..." Ty spoke up. I looked up into his dark brown eyes.
"Ok I'll get the nurse to-" I was cut off by him kissing me. He let go, "-to get your stuff" I said. He smiled and I did to.
