-Saihara's POV-

I neatly adjust the white tie on my black suit, using the mirror to check that it wasn't crooked. Once I made sure that I looked presentable, I left my house and got into my car.
I have never been to a party hosted by Ouma because I never had any reason or time to. He always seemed like an odd, flashy character ever since he became popular, but I never saw him anything worth interrogating until that recent robbery.........

*flashback*

I looked around the bank's safe room, nearly empty except for a nickel or dollar bill here and there on the floor. Normally I worked on cases much more important than robberies, but the bank owner nearly begged me to investigate, and I'm thankful he did.
It didn't take me too long to look around and find a small note hidden under a $5 bill that read,

"You have been invited to my party on Friday! Theme is: White, Black, and Purple! Don't be late~
~K.O."

Instantly after reading the invitation, I recognized that it was Kokichi Ouma's party that the robbers have been invited to, especially since Ouma is the most common person in town to host fancy parties.
Then I had a thought.
A thought I couldn't shake off for the rest of that day.

Does Kokichi have something to do with this robbery?
....
Does he hire people to steal money for him?
Is this how he gets so wealthy?

*End flashback*

So tonight, I have decided to find the answers to these questions.
I have to corner him.

It's going to be hard, but I've just got to keep pressing him.

5 minutes later, I start to see the large, fancy building surrounded by a golden gate with elegant statues decorating it, welcomed with many flowers and sparkling water fountains that heavily appealed to the eye.
Once I parked my car, I realized there was a bunch of other people who had already arrived by noticing the amount of vehicles present. I checked my watch,

The party only started an hour ago! Are his parties really that popular? ...

I got out of my car and made my way to the entrance. The two doormen bowed at me and held the large doors open as I walked through. I quietly thanked them as I went past them.
I was greeted by another servant as I entered,

"The ball room is located down the left hall, and is the fourth door to the right."

Fourth door down the hall??

I silently thanked him and did just that. The hallways had tall walls and long ceilings, decorated with chandeliers, tables with vases, candles; I shake my head.

Isn't he worried about getting his objects stolen??

The two large elegant doors were already wide open and I got a glimpse of the large room. I gasped at the sight.

A huge room with several elegant tables with pure white cloth and beautiful candles and silverware on them with another huge chunk of the room dedicated for dancing, and another part of the room near the dancing floor were the professional musicians playing a variety of instruments that caused a soothing melody to ring throughout the place. On top of it, there was a large spiral balcony going along the walls of the room where there were more tables and people talking, having drinks, etc.

...
I'm starting to see why so many people come here. This place can take someone's breath away...

I snap out of my daze and hang out in a corner of the room to avoid getting recognized. A few people did spot me anyway, and greeted themselves while some asked for an autograph, but I kept an eye out for Ouma.

After about 20 minutes, I start to grow a little impatient. I walk up to a woman and tapped her lightly on the shoulder. Once she turned around, I asked,

"Excuse me, but when is the host going to arrive?"

She smiled and said in an excited voice,

"Ah yes! Mr. Ouma! He should be here any minu-"

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!"

Everyone's gaze turned to the loud, short individual with his hands on his hips, wearing a proud stance.

He was wearing a white top hat with a checkered pattern ribbon tied around it with purple hair underneath that stuck out on the sides of his head. His hands were covered with silk, white gloves, and he wore a large, white cape that went down to his ankles, and a few gold chains in the front to keep it on. Under his cape, he wore a white tuxedo with black buttons and a black shirt underneath with white pants and large, white boots.

Well, he definitely looks flashy...

"Nishishi!~I'm soooooo glad you could all make it!~ Now let's get this party REALLY started!"

Everyone cheers all at once as the music starts to kick in and everyone stands up to dance.

I take a deep breath and go to approach him, unfortunately he had a large crowd around him already. I decided to wait until he was in a less crowded area to introduce myself, but that opportunity never seemed to come.

After around an hour of people dancing and talking around him, I start to depart from the room and head up the large, spiral balcony that surrounded all the sides of the cylinder-like room. The farther and higher I seem to walk around it, the less people that were around.

My legs were tired by the time I found an entrance to a balcony leading outside. I open the doors and stare out at the gorgeous view of the backyard that I have never seen.
I make my way to the balcony ledge and take a deep breath of fresh air. The backyard was huge, filled with fountains, flowers, even a hedge maze!

I chuckle to myself, "he really went all out on every part of this place, huh?"

Suddenly I hear a voice behind me.

"Nishishi~ I thought you'd like it."
