Yumin - Her Voice

Jimin POV

Her name is Yuju, Choi Yuna. The most beautiful girl I've ever seen. Her shiny eyes, long legs, graceful hair, she's perfect. It's actually a miracle that we are friends. Yuju doesn't speak but she can hear. She can't make one single sound. I encourage her to speak but she just doesn't want to. She responds to me by writing.
School day

I get to my school and wait for Yuju. It's 8:55 and school starts at 9am. Where can she be. She is never this late I thought. 15 minutes pass and she finally arrives. I run up to her worried of the reason she came late since she is always early.
"Yuju! Are you ok? Why are you late, did something happen to you?" I asked.
She was about to pull out her note book to write her response but I slowly pushed her book down signaling that it's ok. I hug her in relieve that at least she still made it to school.
She pulled away and smiled at me. I smiled back. We walk into the school knowing we would get in trouble for coming late.
"Jimin, Yuju! You are late to my class! Next time wake up early so you wouldn't waste time of the lesson. Yuju, pardon me for yelling."The teacher said guilty for yelling at Yuju.
"Both of you detention after school!" He yelled for the last time.
I really didn't mind, as long as I'm with Yuju, I'd be fine.

Time passed and it was lunch time.
Me and Yuju walked together to the lunch room, like always. We were passing a hall way until Yuju suddenly stopped.
"Yuju, what's wrong?" I asked.
I looked in her direction and realized she was looking at a poster.
Talent show Next Week!
Sing? Dance? Got talent? Come along to our show and participate! I read.
She looked down.
She was upset.
"Yuju, you want to join?" I asked
She nodded.
"Really?! You want to dance? We can do a dance together!" I smiled happily.
She giggled and shook her head no.
"No?, Yuju.... you want to sing?"
She smiled and shook her head yes.
I gasped.
"But Yuju, do you think you ready?"
She slowly shook yes.
I was a bit nervous but I knew that she could do it.
I held her hand and smiled.
"Alright, if you think your ready... I'll support you."
We continue to walk to the lunch room.

Time passes till after school.

Time flew fast that I forgot we had detention. I held yuju's hand and we walked to the detention room.
"Don't worry Yuju, it will be quick."
She nodded.
We entered the class and signed our name to show that we attended detention.
We sat together, as soon as we sat she layed her head down.
"Yuju, if you want to join the talent show you nut choose a song to sing."
She lifts up her head and takes out her book.
She writes down some songs:
-mermaid
-contrail
-spring is gone by chance
-spring day
She shows me her book and one particular song catches my eye, spring is gone by chance huh.
"What about that one?" I point to her.
She writes
Hmm, jimin that song has very strong vocals.
"But I know you can do it, even if I never heard your voice before." I respond
She smiles.

Every day in the afternoon she texts me saying she is doing vocal practice for the song. I'm really excited to hear her voice. I can already imagine her voice being angelic and soft. It's only 4 days till the show.

Four days pass...

It's the big day. I go back stage and look for her.
I see her sitting down looking beautiful. I admire her from a distance until she catches me.
"Oh! Hey there!" Is say a bit shyly. I walk up to her.
She giggles and blushes.
"Ah, are you blushing?"
She shakes her head no.
"Yeah 'okay', so your up next to perform and I really wanted to wish you good luck. I hope you do well and steal everyone's attention with that mystery voice of yours" I say
I hug her and run out to get a seat in the crowed. A few minutes pass.
She walks out and sits on the chair. Every one shows a surprised expression. I can tell she is nervous, just like me.
I close my eyes.
The music starts and she begins to sing.

I open my eyes in surprise by an angelic voice. I see her singing, my mouth is wide open as I fall deeper in love with her. Her voice drives me crazy, it makes me love her more than I already can.
Her vocals... are just too perfect.
Everyone gasped at the fact that the girl that couldn't talk is now on stage singing.
I smile at her as she continues to sing. I let a tear drop down my cheek as I'm proud of her for being such a brave little human. She looks at me and smiles as the song ends.
Every one is still surprised at the fact that Yuju performed.
I ran up stage and and hugged her. The crowed cheered for her and threw petals of roses. I drop tears on her shoulder,
"Jimin, why are you crying?" She asked
"Yuju! You can finally speak! I'm so proud of you!" I say as I continue to drop small tears.
"Jimin, I know" she smiles and joins me crying.
"Yuju, it's time. It's time for me to tell you the truth." I say and kneel on on leg.
"Jimin..."
"Yuju, if you only knew how much I loved you when you smiled at me and hugged me. Don't you know how long I've been keeping these feelings? Yuju, I thought I loved you enough before but I guess I was wrong. I knew you were special from the day I saw you. Your voice just made me fall deeper in love than I already am. Yuju... will you be mine?"

"Jimin... of course I'll be yours! I felt the same way since we met!" She said still crying.
I kissed her.
She pulled away. "Jimin" she said surprise as she held her lips. I giggled and turned to the side as I forgot the whole school was watching us.
They all jumped up and cheered for us.
I look at Yuju and hugged her.
