Scar’s POV

I woke up around 3 in the morning in my angels arms, her head tilted slightly on my pillow. Her eyes moved beneath her eyelids and I hoped that she was having a good dream, she deserved the best of dreams. Slowly I untangled myself from her arms, trying desperately not to wake her, and tip-toed over to my shoes. Pulling them on quickly I grabbed my keys and quietly kissed Adrienne’s cheek then went downstairs.

The TV was on downstairs meaning that Ariah was awake and downstairs, blocking my escape to the front door. Sighing I walked into the living room to see her sitting on the couch watching old re-runs of Glee.

“You’re leaving,” she stated calmly. I nodded and sat down next to her, waiting for her to try and change my mind, but she never did.

“Here it’s kind of cold outside,” she handed me a jacket and offered a small smile.

“Thanks,” I said. Whats gotten into her? “Why aren’t you trying to change my mind or something?”

“Because it won’t work, you’d still leave. Plus I knew that you would leave, you need time to think about everything.”

“Thanks you Ariah.” Truthfully I never expected her to react like this. “I wont be long.”

“Okay. Text me if you need anything,” she said then returned her attention back to the TV. I promised that I would then walked through the kitchen to the front door but stopped when my fathers liquor cabinet caught my eye. Smiling slightly I opened it and grabbed my dads bottle of patron and a glass then left the house quickly.

“This is what I need,” I said aloud as poured myself a glass and walked down the street. It would have been too loud to take my car so I decided to walk, plus the fresh air would help me think. Drowning my now full cup I grimaced as the hot liquid poured down my throat, burning as it went.

Some time later I found myself on a small hill, the bottle half empty and my vision blurred. Slurring slightly I pulled out my phone, fumbled with the buttons for a second then called someone to pick me up. I told them where I was then pressed ‘End’ and looked around quickly. My feet swayed as I tried to gain my balance but it was no use. Groaning in pain I fell down to my knees and then onto my stomach on the cold pavement, my bottle falling to the ground and shattering. A car soon pulled up next to me and someone got out, picked me up and placed me in the front seat. The engine started and I fell asleep, completely wasted.

Ariah’s POV

Sitting on the couch I watched TV for a while after Scar left but soon got bored so I pulled out my laptop and listened to music. Checking my phone I noticed that it was almost 5 in the morning, she has been gone for 2 hours already. Suddenly my phone began ringing and I picked it up quickly.

“Hello?” I said into the phone. “Scar?”

“Im at the park down by the hill,” Scar slurred on the other line. I got up quickly and grabbed her keys then ran into the garage. Getting in her car I turned on the engine then reversed out of the garage as soon as the door opened.

“Scar im on my way. Stay there, don’t leave,” I said then realized that she had already hung up. Groaning I stepped on the gas and raced down the street to the park where Scar was most likely passed out. How the hell did she get drunk? I know that she doesn’t drink.

Looking around the park worriedly I sighed in relief as I saw a body on the ground below a tree. Parking, I jumped out of the car and ran to her slumped body and helped her up.
