She walked through the crowded hallways, smiling to herself as she read the text messages between her and someone with the initals c.h. She smiled as she wondered who he was, and how the curiosity was eating her alive.
As she continued to re-read her conversation, she bumped into someone, "Sorry," she said, the same time that he did. They looked at each other for a second, her green eyes meeting his brown ones. She looked away and continued walking to her next class.
12:22pm:
hi.
12:22pm:
hey :)
12:23pm:
what class are you on your way to?
12:24pm:
Literature, what about you?
12:26pm:
oh haha cool, english
12:27pm:
i’ll talk to you later. my teacher’s a total bitch. hahaha
12:28pm:
alright, by the way, what color hair do you have?
He walked into Literature, scanning the room, his eyes brushing over every girl in the class. Who was this girl?
He didn’t tell her. He didn’t tell her he was in her class, he wasn’t ready to show himself yet. And he was worried she wasn’t either.
She hadn’t replied to his text so he didn’t know what hair color to look out for.
He saw a blonde haired girl sitting in the corner smacking gum and twirling her hair. That wasn’t her. A brunette reading Wuthering Heights in the very front, maybe. A lilac haired girl with headphones in her ear and an Iron Maiden top, not her. A red haired girl writing in her notebook. He gave up, and sat down in the seat closest to him.
12:45pm:
lilac.
