A war is shown before a guy is shown dreaming about the war. He wakes up, sighs and grabs his cane before getting up. Soon, he goes to talk to the psychiatrist that he was recommended to see after getting out of the service. She tells him that he has post-traumatic stress disorder.
People are shown as they get a taxi to get to and from their places. The police give their input about the cases as they were ruled a suicide. A text comes to their phones that said wrong. The investigator woman tells them to ignore it and when someone else asks another question, they get another text saying wrong. After a few more questions and answers another one comes in with one for the lead inspector saying:
'You know where to find me-SH'. The inspector ends the questions and he leaves.
The first guy is shown walking and he runs into an old friend of his and the two then sit talking about flat mates and all that. That is when a man is shown opening a body bag while a woman stood off to the side. He then goes on to hit something with a riding crop while the woman stood off to the side and tried to flirt. He was oblivious to it while a text comes into his phone.
'When will you be coming home? -A' The text reads and he sighs. His mysterious friend knew the answer to that. Another text comes in and he stares in shock at the picture before another text comes in.
'Your loss for working on a case-A.' The text reads and he gulps before sighing.
"I was wondering if you'd like to have coffee?" The lady asks.
"Black, two sugars, thank you. I'll be upstairs." He says before heading into the forensics lab upstairs. The guy, Dr. John Watson and his old friend, Mike enter the room while he is working.
"Mike, may I borrow your phone?" He asks, "There is no signal on mine."
"And what is wrong with the landline?" Mike asks.
"I prefer to text." He says.
"Sorry, it's in my coat." Mike says.
"Uh, here, use mine." John says.
"Oh, thank you." He says and gets up and walks over to grab John's phone. His own goes off and Mike rolls his eyes.
"This is an old friend of mine, John Watson." Mike says.
"Afghanistan or Iraq?" He asks.
"Sorry?" John asks after a few moments.
"Which was it, Afghanistan or Iraq?" He asks while texting. John sighs.
"Afghanistan, sorry, but how did you know..." John asks as Molly comes into the room with the coffee.
"How do you feel about the violin?" He asks after sipping the coffee.
"Sorry, what?" John asks.
"I play the violin when I'm thinking and my friend often does too. Sometimes the two of us don't speak for days. Would that bother you?" He asks, "Potential Flat mates should know the worse about each other."
"You told him about me?" John asks.
"Not a word." Mike says.
"Then who said anything about flat mates?" John asks.
"I did. I told Mike this morning that my friend and I will be the most difficult to get a flat mate with. Now he's here with an old friend clearly home from Afghanistan, wasn't a difficult leap. Now if you excuse me, I have a friend who is anxiously waiting for me." He says.
