Chapter 8: "Murder and Relocation?"

Mrs. Hudson gives them the keys and Ava walks in after Sherlock but before John and Lestrade. In the room, they find a pair of shoes. Sherlock walks around to have a look and John holds his hand up.

"He's a bomber remember?" John says.

"Then Ava, step back." Sherlock says and Ava nods as she steps behind John and Lestrade. Sherlock kneels down to look at the shoes and the group jumps in shock when the pink phone rings. Sherlock waits a few rings to answer it.

"Hello?" Sherlock asks. Ava walks over to stand behind him as she looks at the blocked caller phone call. They hear breathing come from the phone.

"H... Hello... sexy." A woman's voice says.

"Who's this?" Sherlock asks as he suddenly grabs Ava's hand. She gulps as she looks at him.

"I've... sent you... a little puzzle, just to say hi." The woman says.

"Who's talking? Why are you crying?" Sherlock asks.

"I... I'm not crying. I'm typing. And this stupid bitch is reading it out." The woman says.

"The curtain rises." Ava whispers.

"What?" John asks.

"Nothing." Sherlock says.

"No, what does she mean?" John asks.

"We've been expecting this for some time." Sherlock says, "We seem to have a fan... A fan who is um, obsessed with both me and Ava, but sees Ava as his romantic interest."

"Twelve hours to solve, my puzzle, Sherlock... or I'm going to be so... naughty." The woman reads.

Later, Ava sits beside Sherlock as John walks in. John takes Sherlock's phone out of his pocket and reads the message from Mycroft. The ME girl comes in just as Sherlock is getting results. Ava listens to the girl who was looking at her. Ava looks at the girl as if she sensed the gaze.

"Do you have something to say?" Ava asks.

"No." The girl says. A guy comes in and the girl tries to make Sherlock jealous. Ava moves closer to Sherlock and presses her body against Sherlock as she made it seem she was having a look at the information when she was really trying to make it seem like the two were together. The guy leaves and the ME girl changes after the guy.

"What did you do?" John asks.

"Nothing." Ava says.

John talks about the shoes then Ava and Sherlock show off by the correct answer. Sherlock's eyes widen in shock.

"Carl Powers." Sherlock says.

"Who?" John asks.

"Carl Powers." Sherlock says.

"What is it?" John asks.

"It's where we began." Ava says as they leave. They explain in the car as they head back to the flat.

Sherlock sends John out to do the case that Mycroft wanted Sherlock to investigate and when he returns he finds Sherlock yelling in shock.

"Poison." Sherlock says.

"What are you going on about?" Mrs. Hudson asks as she came into the room to give Ava some of her favorite evening tea.

"Clostridium Botulinum!" Sherlock says as Mrs. Hudson rushes from the room, "It's one of the deadliest poisons on the planet!"

"What?" John asks.

"Carl Powers." Ava says.

"You are saying he was murdered?" John asks.

"Do you remember the shoelaces?" Sherlock asks.

"Yes?" John asks.

"The boy suffered from eczema. It'd be the easiest thing in the world to introduce the poison into his medication. Two hours later, he comes up to London, the poison takes effect, paralyses the muscles and he drowns." Sherlock says as he walks around the room. He grabs Ava around the waist and moves her. For the brief moment that her back was against his chest, she blushed as she felt his breath against the back of her neck. She gulps as she stood beside him while Sherlock typed into the computer about his discovery.

"Why are you posting that?" John asks.

"He reads the blog, so to stop the clock." Sherlock says, "The killer kept the shoes all this time which means?"

"The killer is our bomber." John says and the pink phone rings.

"Well done, you. Come and get me." The woman says.

"Where are you? Tell us where you are." Sherlock says.

The police get to the woman and the next day, the four talk about the case is Lestrade's office.

"What was the point? Why would anyone do this?" Lestrade asks.

"I know Ava and I aren't the only ones in the world that get bored." Sherlock says.

"So, the sexy he was talking about?" Lestrade asks.

"He finds Ava quite attractive, thinks that she's his romantic partner and that I'm simply her bodyguard keeping other men off his prize." Sherlock says.

"And you know this how?" Lestrade asks. Another message comes into the pink phone revealing four pips. Sally walks in and holds up her phone as the call was for Sherlock.

"It's okay that you've gone to the police." A guy's voice says.

"Who is this?" Sherlock asks.

"Because in the end, it'll still be me who is victorious in winning the beautiful Ava's heart." The guy says.

"Is this you again?" Sherlock asks.

"But don't rely on them. Clever you, guessing about Carl Powers. I never liked him. Carl laughed at me, so I stopped his laughing." The guy says.

"You've stolen another voice, I presume?" Sherlock asks as Ava and John come out of Lestrade's office.

"This is about you, Ava and me." The guy says.

"Who are you?" Sherlock asks before hearing a noise, "What's that noise?"

"It's the sound of life, Sherlock. Accept that you've already lost her, because you refuse to love her." The guy says, "But don't worry. I can soon fix that. You solved my last puzzle in nine hours. This time you have eight." The guy hangs up and Sherlock turns and looks at Ava who stood there with a confused look on her face.

Thegroup gets to work as fast as they can. They head to Janus cars and Ava andSherlock head to the ME office. Ava leaves the room to head to the ladies' roomwhile Sherlock gets a phone call about a hint. He solves the case and they headto tell Lestrade about it before the three head back to the flat to tell thebomber.
