Chapter 4: "Sherlock and the Bank!"

Sherlock stands fighting a guy in the apartment while Ava slept in the other room. The other guy yells an attack at him.

"Shush, she isn't happy when she's awaken from her beauty sleep." Sherlock says and quickly gains the upper hand before knocking the guy out. He fixes his outfit as a half asleep Ava, who was wearing a nightgown that framed her figure drags a blanket from her bedroom.

Later, John walks in to find Sherlock reading a book while Ava was curled up while sitting on his lap. She still held her blanket.

"You steal her seat again?" John asks.

"Oh good, your back. You took your time." Sherlock says changing the subject.

"I didn't get the shopping." John says.

"What? Why not?" Sherlock asks then lowers his voice so he wouldn't wake Ava.

"I had a row in the shop with a chip and PIN machine." John says.

"You... You have a row with a machine?" Sherlock asks.

"Sort of. It sat there and I shouted abuse. Have you got cash?" John asks.

"Take my card." Sherlock says.

"You could always go yourself, you know, you've been sitting there all morning. I really don't see why you allow Ava on your lap when you ignore her half the time." John says.

"I don't ignore her." Sherlock says in a whisper. John leaves again and Sherlock changes his page. When John returns with the shopping, he finds Ava sitting beside Sherlock while the two stared at John's laptop. Ava wore a simple dress that came to her knees. John takes his computer from the two as they were reading an email. Ava rolls her eyes.

"I need to go to the bank." Sherlock says and gets up as he pulls Ava's hand. She gets up and quickly follows him.

They head to the bank and Ava stretches as she stood behind Sherlock. She'd pulled on her beautiful coat that was a gift from Sherlock years ago. They get onto an escalator.

"When you said, we were going to the bank." John says. Sherlock walks to the receptionist.

"Sherlock Holmes." Sherlock says. They are led to an area where a guy joins them and kisses Ava's hand gently before addressing John. They head to the guy's office to conduct the business they were there for.

"There's been a break in." The guy says and then shows them to the guy's office. Ava and Sherlock return to the room after they watch the security video about it. Sherlock places his hand against Ava's belly signaling her to wait as he steps out onto the ledge outside the window.

Ava waits as she watches him head out of the office and move around the room. Sherlock grins from an office then they head to join John. They start discussing what he found.

"There aren't very many Van Coons in the phone book. Taxi!" Sherlock says as they head out of the bank. The three load up into the taxi and Ava smiles as she looks out the window. They head to Van Coons' home and Sherlock rings the buzzard. He then tries it with the new person above the flat they need. Sherlock climbs down from the balcony then heads around the flat while thinking.

"Anytime you feel like letting me in." Watson says. Sherlock heads into the bedroom after breaking the door down.

Later, the three stand over the dead body while Sherlock thinks. Ava stood thinking as well and the two come to the same conclusion. Sherlock looks up at Ava and the two grin at one another.
