I walk with Austin to homeroom.
"Does Violet like me?" I ask.
"She doesn't like anyone." Austin says.
"Uh...ok." I say.
"Don't worry. You'll be fine. Today will speed by." He says.
I smile. Austin sits down at a desk. He pats the seat to let me know I can sit. I sit down.
"That's Mr. Harshmen." He points to the teacher in blazer and dress pants.
I nod. He told me the people to stay away from and people that will be willing to be my friend. Mr. Harshmen turns on the tv.
"Ok five minutes, no talking." He says.
We say the pledge and the people doing the morning announcements told everyone that I was new here. Oh great. I really don't want to be the center of attention. The bells rings shortly after and I go to science. I was glad when I walked in the room no stared at me.
I walk up to the teacher and ask where I could sit. She said next to Austin. Oh thank god. Hopefully this day will go nicely.
~Lunch~
Ok I made it to lunch which I think is going pretty good so far. Third period was awesome. Well it was chorus and I love to sing. I'm a soprano 1. Yay for me!
I find Austin, Ashley, Brenda, and Violet sitting at a table. I sit next to Austin.
"Hey Savannah!" Ashley says.
"Hey." I say.
Brenda waves. Violet doesn't even look at me. That doesn't seem like a good sign.
"So how's your day been going." Brenda asks.
"It's been good so far." I answer.
"She's amazing in chorus." Ashley says out to everyone.
I blush.
"Oh really...sing something." Violet says.
Ashley nods and smiles.
"As I went down in the river to pray, studying about that good old way, and who shall wear the starry crown good lord show me the way." I sing.
Violet sneers.
"How did you memorize that so quickly?" Ashley asks.
"I don't know." I say.
"Your voice is beautiful." Brenda says.
"Thanks." I say.
I just realized that Austin had said nothing.
"Hey Austin." I say.
"Hey cutie." He says.
"Why aren't you talking?" I ask.
He shrugs.
"Come on say something."
"Something." He says.
I give him a look.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"I'll tell you later." He says.
"Ok." He says.
I wonder what's wrong.

The day went fast as I hoped. Austin still hasn't told me what's wrong. I'm so worried. Me and Austin got on the bus.
"Can I come over later? Like four?" He asks.
"I'll have to ask my parents but I know it will be a yes." I say.
"Ok." He says.
When we get home I wave good bye to Austin. I walk into my door. Harry comes over and hugs me.
"Hi daddy." I say.
"Hey sweetie." He says.
"Where did everyone else go?" I ask.
"Out." He says.
I pause for a second.
"Hey dad?" I say.
"Yes?"
"Can Austin come over later? Around four?" I ask.
"Sure." He says.
Yes!
~4:17~
"Hey Austin." I say.
"Hey cutie." He says.
We sit on the couch.
"So. What's up?" I say.
"The sky."
I smile.
"So you wanna play a game? Watch a move?" I say.
"What movies do you have?"
I search through the movies and in put in Finding Nemo. As the movie plays Austin seems to want to say something.
"Hey can we talk?" He asks.
"Yeah what about?" I say.
"I know we haven't spent a lot time together but..."
He trails off. Why is he so nervous?.... Oh my god! I completely forgot about that note.
"But what?" I say.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He blurts out.
