The moment the door fell, Kiarra and Bookin were hit with a blast of fresh air.

Through the door was a giant greenhouse. The place was huge.

There were thousands of plants. Some were blue, some were pink. Some even had sparkles. There were all different kinds.

There were no real windows, because they were so far underground, but there were huge lights on the ceiling that felt just like the sun.

There was a waterfall off to one side of the room, and it covered the floor in a soft mist.

Little streams were going around the room, supplying all of the plants with water.

"This is amazing said Katie." And it really was. Some of the plants reached up to the ceiling, and some were barely a foot high.

Then Bookin noticed the door at the end of the room. "We need to go find Kiarra."

The girls made there way through the greenhouse, but then Katie caught the scent of something.

It smelt so good. Katie needed to find that plant. Katie ran off into the direction of the plant.

"Hey Katie," said Bookin. "Where are you going! We need to find..." But then Bookin caught the scent, and she followed Katie.

Finally they reached a small golden plant with deep purple berries.

Suddenly, a man jumped out of the foliage. It was evil king Jowa!

"What are you doing here?" Said Katie.

Jowa smiled. There was a blank look in his eyes.

"I'm just guarding the plant for her." Said Jowa. "It's where she gets her perfume from after all."

"Is that how she controls people?" Asks Bookin.

Jowa laughed softly and smiled, starting at the plant. "It doesn't control, it only attracts. And it's such a lovely smell, don't you think?" Said Jowa, touching the plant.

"We need to get out of here." Whispered Bookin. "Jowa is clearly under her spell."

The girls crept back quietly, but there was no need. Jowa was to involved with the plant to care about them. Poor boy. He's like a dog.

"We need to end her." Said Bookin. "This Barbie girl." Katie nodded.

The girls reached the door. They pushed it open, and through the door were cages and cages of animals.

But they weren't just animals, thought Katie. Some of them were strange colours, and one of them actually was a giant cricket. Then the giant cricket reached down and touched it's lower belly. Katie and Bookin rushed past it.

All of the animals were strange. Some of them were quite beautiful. One was a small golden bird.

The girls reached the door on the other side of the room, and they pushed open the door.

Inside was a hallway, and the hallway was full of people. The girls pushed the doors closed.

"What are we going to do?" Asked Katie.

Bookin thought for a moment. "I have a plan." She said.

The girls waited until two of the workers were standing by the door, and then they pulled them back.

Bookin put the two workers asleep with her squid powers. They stole the lab coats and put them on themselves. They hid the scientists behind a cage.

The two girls walked into the busy hallway. The walls were made of the same white stone as before. There was a hall to there left, right and directly in front of them.

The girls decided to go through the front hall first.

The doors were marked. One of them read HUMAN RECONSTRUCTION. The girls decided not to look through that door.

Another door said PLANT EXTRACTION. They peeked through that door, and inside was a factory.

There were big machines squeezing plants until a liquid dripped out, and then the liquid was deposited into a small vial. Some of the liquids were blue, some green, some gold. There were hundreds of different colours.

The plants looked like they were from the greenhouse before.

Katie knew that these plants were not from the land of the udders. She would recognize them, but where else was there? Besides the land of the udders, there was just ocean.

And anyway, even if there was something out there, there is no way to cross the ocean. You can't go by water, because there are to many deadly water creatures. You can't cross by air because there are man eating birds up there.

"Let's go." Said Bookin.

The girls went out into the hall, and continued down the row of doors. Another door was marked ANIMAL EXTRACTION. Then finally they reached the right door.

This one was marked SECURE PRISON.

"This is it!" Said Katie.

Bookin shook her head. "Why do you think they captured Kiarra. To throw her in a cell?"

Katie thought for a moment. "They would want her powers."

Bookin nodded and pointed to a door across the hall marked POWER EXTRACTION.

The girls ran over to that door.

"There is going to be loads of security in here." Said Bookin.

Katie laughed. "Without it how would he have any fun?" Asked Katie, and with that she kicked down the door.

And there was "security" waiting for them inside.

Kiarra was now inside the machine and she was being strapped in.

"How can you just control me!" Asked Kiarra. "I thought you could only control boys?"

Barbie laughed. "How about I just give you your memories back?" Said Barbie. Barbie raised her hands and suddenly Kiarra's head was flooded with new memories.

Right after they had defeated the darkness in the Great War of Darkness, they had kidnapped Kiarra.

They had preformed that awful surgery on her head, so that she could be controlled. She could still feel the searing pain in her head.

Then they had wiped her memory and sent her back out, to spend a little while in the squid kingdom.

Then she was brought back and put in a jail cell for so long. Then they had wiped her memory again and sent her to the squid kingdom, to ask Bookin to come on a quest with her.

But it had never been Kiarra's quest. It had always been Barbie's.

"Why wouldn't you just keep me that first time?" asked Kiarra. "Why did you wait so long to try to take my powers?"

Barbie thought for a moment. "We needed to make sure that you were ready." She said. "And we will get your powers. Andrew, fire up the machine."

Kiarra heard the machine she was inside power up. Long needled were plunged into her arms and legs.

Then her whole body erupted in pain.
