Chapter 5-Ronnie Montgomery
It wasn’t that I was mad at Taylor. It was more that I was jealous of my best friend for knowing a member of One Direction. I mean come on! She knows Liam fucking Payne and she didn’t think to mention it? Okay, I guess I was a little mad, but that wasn’t the point. The point is that my two best friends and I were going to hang out with One Direction in Liam’s flat! What was a flat anyway? I didn’t really care. We were following Liam down the street when a short girl with long blond hair and big blue eyes shouted, “HEY! IT”S LIAM PAYNE!” Liam quickly motioned us to follow him as we ran down the street.
Once we finally walked into Liam’s flat, I saw four boys lounged across a large couch, eating food and playing video games. Niall was the first to notice we were there and immediately stood up to greet us. “Looks like we have some visitors!” he said with a grin. “I’m Niall.” Liam introduced us to the cute blond boy. I could tell Charlie was beginning to get nervous being in the presence of her favorite member of one direction. It seemed like Niall became nervous as well as he locked eyes with my friend. Soon Harry, Louis and Zayn got up to say hello.
We were all sitting on the couch. Taylor and Liam were sitting awful close to each other, catching up and chatting about their new lives. Although, Liam seemed a little quiet. “So how do you two know each other exactly?” Louis asked a bit confused. “Well,” Liam said, “Taylor happened to be my best friend during my first shot at the X-Factor. I haven’t seen this lovely lady in ages!” Taylor blushed. Liam had always been her favorite of the boys.
I was sitting in between Zayn and Harry and I could not believe that I was hanging out with one direction. Soon the topic of college came up and I began to feel a little embarrassed. Charlie and Taylor explained what they were studying and I told the boys I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to do yet. Having everything in stone was something I hated. I had no shame in being undecided about school, but I didn’t want Har-I mean the boys to think I was some low life. Taylor sensed this and changed the topic. She could read people so well. “So guys how do you like living in London? It is completely beautiful!” she said. “Yeah it’s amazin’! Especially since I get to live with my boo bear.” Harry said with a smile looking at Louis. We all laughed. Harry’s smile was contagious.
We all decided to watch a scary movie. By then it was getting pretty late, but it wasn’t like we wanted to get home to Colin anytime soon. Zayn suggested we watch Paranormal Activity. I was really into scary movies, but I pretended to be scarred. Harry clearly didn’t want to watch it, but he tried to be manly. I used him as my human shield as we watched the movie and I could feel him tensing during all the scary parts. The only one of the boys who seemed to enjoy the movie was Zayn. As we continued watching the movie, I noticed Taylor and Liam were not with us anymore. They must have run off somewhere….Niall had his arm around Charlie and I had my head on Harry’s shoulder.
I soon got tired from the long day and began to fall asleep as all my friends watched the movie in terror. I woke up to Harry softly shaking my shoulders. “Sorry to wake you love,” he said, “But your friends are leaving now.” I smiled at him, then looked at the clock on the wall. It was almost 3 in the morning! I said goodbye to the boys and told them we would call them tomorrow. Niall gave Charlie a small kiss on the cheek in the door way. They were completely perfect for each other. Taylor and Liam then walked out of a room together and hugged each other goodnight. Harry took my hand and walked my friends and me all way back to the car. As we got there, Harry kissed my forehead and opened the door for me. “Goodnight,” I said sweetly as I got in my seat.
I was really starting to like London.
