Death, a word the brunette knew all too well. After all that's all she'd ever seemed to see, her friend's, her family.

Everyone or anyone that she ever knew or even just looked at seemed to die.

Of course she dismissed the thought at first, but then it got to her.

She had so many questions, and no one could answer her.

How could almost everyone she knew die?

Why now?

Why her family?

Why her friends?

And the one she wanted most to be answered...

Why her?

The brunette rubs her head with a sigh, she was sitting on her maroon colored queen sized bed finishing the papers that had to be done by tomorrow.

You could tell by the bags under her eyes and how they were half opened half closed that she was tired.

Although between the paperwork that had been stacking up and the loss of her friends and family let's just say it's not the best time to sleep.

Her thoughts had been interrupted by the soft padding of footsteps coming from downstairs.

'Shit!' She cursed in her head as she heard footsteps make there way up the stairs.

She grabbed her phone and ran for her walk-in closet (tripping over her blankets and throwing her work papers all over the place in the process) before reaching the closet door opening and closing it before sliding in between her clothing rack sitting down she moved a couple boxes in front of her for cover.

She heard who ever was in her house open her bedroom door and began walking over to her closet.

She didn't hear anything for a little bit, no sound, no footsteps, nothing except her heart beating in her chest.

Until her closet door slammed open, making her jump in the process.

The footsteps got louder and louder, and the last thing she saw was the bright green of someone's eyes before it all wint black.
