In the Shadows of Fate

Prologue

Chapter 1

The Shadow

"Those slimy little frogs are to pay for my fate here in the shadow realm" said Dr. Facilier, plotting his revenge on Tiana and Naveene, who now live happily ever after in New Orleans, cooking meals for everyone around the world. Then Dr. Facilier thought of an evil plan, "I believe I over heard in the shadows that many other worlds villains received a fate as deadly or worse than mine, I wonder if they are interested in a little change in destiny." Dr. Facilier finished with an evil laugh as the realm of darkness echoed with laughter and howls of evil spirits. A spirit crept behind him spoke in an ghastly voice

"There's an old story saying that if all seven hearts are to be combined into one, they will lead you to every lasting darkness." hissed the spirit in the shadows.

"A path way to ever lasting darkness with the combination of seven pure hearts of light? Sounds promising." Dr. Facilier thought with an evil laugh that echoed through the darkness. "I must find the spell that brings the villains to life. Maybe my old colleague Madam Mim can help. I hope she is still in that forest playing cards by herself." He heard the shadow realm's drums go off. He knew he had a chance to send a shadow to the world of light to send his message to Mim. "My plan is about to be unfold. Give this message to Madam Mim in England during the middle ages, my friends, and tell her it's time to reveal our true power as the villains." The shadows howled and growled as they entered the realm of light to the time of the Middle Ages to speak with the mistress of black sorcery, Madam Mim.

"The time is upon us for a new era. It's time those heroes knew our true power when mixed with the powers of darkness." said Facilier as he spoke with the master of the dark realm and shadows. "I know, I failed you once, but not again. I know a way to allow you to feed on the souls of innocent mortals from other worlds. Worlds far beyond your imagination." The leader of the shadows growled with distrust in his plan. "Now, I know what your thinking, 'you failed me once, what makes you think you won't fail me again', well that's very simple to answer. I am going to revive other villains to assist me in bringing everlasting darkness to those poor incompetent worlds where seven princesses of true heart live and with there combined power I will be in control of it all and in return you will have all the souls of each world to devour for your amusement." The spirit grinned with delight as Dr. Facilier spoke "You like that don't you? So do we have a deal?" Said Dr. Facilier holding out his hand with a huge grin on his face.

The spirit laughed and roared as it echoed the shadows the other spirits replied back to him and slithered toward Dr. Facilier to do his every will to make their master happy.

"Hahaha, boys were back in business! Now we wait for my colleague, Madam Mim, to give me the spell to bring the villains back to rewrite the story books and make them our own way to give us a happily ever after" Dr. Facilier said while howls, crackles, and laughs filled the shadow realm.

Chapter 2

Tea with Mim

Deep in the forest where wolves and hawks ran and flew free, there was a cottage where a evil witch lived. "I hear the sounds of misery and pain, oh, I hope it's something serious." Said Madam Mim with a nasty smile. The shadows that Dr. Facilier sent finally got to her cottage to give her the message. "Why hello dear shadows, can I offer you a drink?" The shadows cackled and gave Mim the message. "Oh, what's this?" asked Mim opening the letter. Dr. Facilier's words echoed in her head.

"Madam Mim, you are always of great assistance to me. Allow me to ask you a favor, I have a huge plan for revenge and I need your help with death. I need that spell you conjured up back then in our old days. Please send the spells ingredient list with my friends to the shadow realm. Sincerely Dr. Facilier aka, the shadow man."

"Oh, how magnificently dreadful! Here is the list of things he'll need. Tell him that I will be waiting on his next visit to the light realm." Mim handed them a long scroll full of ancient text and a bag of ingredients. "Good luck boys, I'll be cheering for you." The shadows left as swiftly as they came in, leaving no sign of there appearance.

Later in the shadow realm, the shadows returned with the ingredients and the scroll. "Ah, this is it, thanks to you guys. Now let's get down to business." said Dr. Facilier as the shadows swirled him as the spell took place.

Chapter 3

A Disturbance In the Books

Over the years Yen Sid has watched over the stories that hold the words to the princesses with true hearts with his council of protectors made up of men and women with strong hearts to help keep balance between good and bad, darkness and light and help from some assistant from Merlin and Mama Odie. Many of the protectors were trained by mages and nights that assisted Yen Sid in his time he recommended these to assist each protector with a special ability.

Takeo was trained as the leader of the protectors. He held a mighty sword to defeat his foes. Sachiko is a happy child that was trained to use cards to trap and attack her enemies. Kazuko, with the help of her pet cat Neka, was trained to be able to change shape to anything that will help them in sticky situations. Daichi uses earth powers or elemental destruction magic. Chiyo was an old elder that fought along side with Yen Sid in their younger days. Now, she lives her life as an old, mystical wolf in the protectors keeping herself strong and healthy. Takeru was a warrior at heart with his ax. He kept his head straight on target and never let his guard down. Isuma was a young boy who wasn't afraid to do anything. He had the spirit of an eagle and the wings of one too, he was sent here as a guardian angel, but never returned for he had failed at protecting his master and joined Yen Sid to regain honor.

One day, while Yen Sid was speaking with Mickey about his training, he collapsed. When he awoke from his fainting he saw Mickey and knew something big was about to happen he had one choice, to go to Mama Odie for answers. Being in his condition he sent Mickey in his place to speak with her. Mickey packed his things and set off for New Orleans to find Mama Odie and see what is about to happen to the realm of light.

Chapter 4

Bayou meeting

As soon as Mickey arrived to New Orleans, he felt that something was watching him, but he let that pass him, for he was on a mission to find Mama Odie. he went deeper and deeper into the bayou looking for an hundred and ninety seven year old blind lady living on a boat in a tree in the middle of the bayou. He lost his way many times but with the help of some strange glowing lights he found the place.

"Why hello Mickey, I was expecting you." Exclaimed Mama Odie with Juju by her side.

"Gosh ma'am, how did you know it was me coming instead of master Yen Sid?"

Mama Odie was snoring as she fell asleep in her chair

" Uh, mama Odie?" Asked Mickey trying to wake her up.

"Juju! Why didn't you tell me my gumbo was burning, quick get the Tabasco sauce to add that kick!" screamed Mama Odie preparing her special gumbo. Juju poured the bottle in the pot as mama Odie kept stirring the pot.

"Mama Odie, I don't see how this is going to help our problem that master Yen Sid sensed." Mickey was getting annoyed by how she completely ignored the problem.

"Fine boy, you will see what is happening." She walked over to her pot. "Gumbo , gumbo in the pot, what you got?" as the gumbo swirled in her bathtub pot a picture began to come. The picture swirled to reveal Dr. Facilier holding a scroll in his hand.

"Dr. Facilier? the shadow man? But he was banished to the shadow realm never to return." said Mickey with fear behind his eyes.

"Hush up and look at the gumbo." stated Mama Odie with impatience. The shadows started to swirl around him and spirits started to shriek.

"He's trying to escape and get revenge on Tiana for sending him there, isn't he?" Asked Micky with fear taking control of him.

"This is just as I feared little mouse, but those protectors of yours are just the spunk you need. Their ready, I know they are." said mama Odie pointing at the protectors that appeared in the gumbo. "Each one of them has just the power needed to undo what ever the Shadow man is doing down there." Then, with a flash Mickey ran out that door and escaped going to Yen Sid's castle to tell him the news. "Good luck Mickey and tell those children they've got old Mama Odie rooting for 'em!"
