Step Up

Kevin's Date

*On the date*

Kevin looks at himself in the mirror as he prepares himself for his dye with Tori.

Kevin: ...nah...

He shakes his head as he looks at an outfit.

He changes.

Kevin: No..too dressy...

He changes again.

Kevin: Too..underdressed...

He changes for what seems like fifty different times before finally picking a casual yet dressy enough outfit.

He smiles as himself in the mirror.

Kevin: Perfect.

As Kevin makes his way over to Tori's house, she gets ready for the date.

*At Tori's house*

Traci: Girl, you lookin' good!

Tori's friend yelled, excitedly.

Tori laughs in response as she puts her earrings in.

Tori: Thanks, girl! Now help me fix my hair!

She smiles as she sits on a chair.

Traci steps behind her and begins to style Tori's hair a bit.

A few minutes later, Kevin arrives at her house.

He knocks.

Traci: He's here. Are you excited?

Tori: Yeah!

She smiles and answers the door.

Tori: Hello!

Kevin flashes his sweet little smile when he sees her.

Kevin: Hey! You look great!

He smiles. His words making her blush.

Tori: So do you!

Before he can say anything, Traci cuts in.

Traci: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Stop flirting and go on the date!

She says, sounding a bit snappy.

Tori laughs at her friends bossy attitude as she stands by Kevin.

Traci: Have her home by ten!

She glares at him.

He just smiles and holds his arm around her.

Kevin: Will do.

As Traci shuts the door, Kevin and Tori turn to face each other.

Tori: So where are we going?

Kevin: You'll see.

She blushes softly as they begin to walk to the ice cream place.

Kevin: So..tell me about yourself.

For a few minutes, they laugh and talk about Tori's life and career. Eventually they make it to the place and get their ice cream.

Tori: What about you?

Kevin: What do you mean?

He asks, looking at her confused.

Tori: Who is the amazing Kevin Olusola?

She smiles as she eats her ice cream.

Kevin laughs.

Kevin: Well, I mean there's not much to tell. I posted videos on YouTube of me beat boxing while playing the cello. I got quite a few views then one day Scott found me and called me, asking if I would meet him and the others. So I did and Avi and I joined their little trio and became an a Capella group of five.

Tori smiles.

Tori: Go on!

He smiles.

Kevin: Then we knew we needed a name, so we thought about it for a while and ended up with Pentatonix!

Tori: Then what?

Kevin: Then we auditioned for The Sing-Off and actually got pretty far! The fans were amazing and growing really quick! The audience and judges responses were always insanely positive!

She giggles.

Tori: Awww!

They make their way to the park and walk through it.

Kevin: We made it to the finally and we won season three!

Tori: Oh my god, that's great! Congrats!

He laughs.

Kevin: Thanks. We got a recording contract!

Tori: And look at you now!

The two walk around and talk for a few more hours, laughing and having a blast.

A few hours later, it's 9:45 and Kevin being the gentleman he is, promised Traci he'd have Tori home by ten.

He walks her up to her doorstep.

Tori: Thank you for tonight, Kevin.

She smiles.

Kevin: Thank you for accepting my offer.

They laugh when Traci yells through the door.

Traci: Good boy! Kept his promise!

Tori: I better get inside before she explodes.

Kevin chuckles.

Kevin: Okay..see you later, Tori.

She kisses his cheek and smiles.

Tori: Goodnight, Kevin.

He smiles and waves as she goes inside, in shock of what just happened.

He walks home with a smile on his face, excited to tell his friends about his night.
