Drifting Apart

*A few weeks later*

As the days go on, Mitch and Scott plan and detail their wedding and guest list, Kevin continues to help bring back Tori's memory, and Avi and Kirstie realize it isn't the same as before.

Kirstie and Avi stroll casually down the street, hand in hand. Everything is okay until she notices him staring at a different girl again.

Kirstie sighs.

Avi: What?

He glances over to her.

Kirstie: Nothing...

She shakes her head, avoiding eye contact.

Avi returns his attention back to the other girl.

As they walk on, Kirstie tries her best to ignore his actions, but the more they walk, the increasingly harder it becomes.

Eventually they stop and get something to eat at a nice restaurant.

Waiter: Hello, my name is Blake and I will be your waiter this evening!

He smiles as he gives them their menus.

Almost immediately, Avi notices Blake making googley eyes at Kirstie, and her making them back.

Kirstie: Hi, Blake! I'm Kirstie!

She says as she smiles at the cute tall dark haired, green eyed boy.

Blake smiles his prince charming smile.

Blake: A very pretty name for a very pretty girl!

Avi: Yeah, I'll have a water.

He says with a sound of rage in his voice before Kirstie could respond.

Blake: And for the lady?

Kirstie: I'll have...uh....

Avi: Water. She'll have a water.

He answers for her because of her distracted mind.

She giggles and smiles at Blake the entire time.

Kirstie: Yeah...that...

Blake smiles at her.

Blake: I'll have that right out to you.

As he leaves, and Kirstie stares, Mitch and Scott are texting Avi in group chat.

*Conversation*

Mitch: Oh you got water?

Scott: Did you specifically ask for TAP water, with NO lemon or flavor,WITH ice and in a normal glass? Cuz sometimes they give you special water.

Mitch: Yeah. I don't know about you but no way in hell do I want some sparkley ass spring water. That crap burns the chords. And we're singers. We gotta keep those babies hydrated!

Scott: 😂

Avi: You guys are insane.

*At the restaurant*

By this time, they've already ordered and received their food as well as drinks.

Instead of eating, Kirstie and Blake make flirty faces from each other from across the room.

Avi sighs as he looks up from his phone.

Avi: Kirstie...

He says with a stern voice.

Kirstie: Yeah?

She responds as she stares at Blake.

Avi: Can you look at me?

Kirstie: No, I'm listening! It's okay. Just...just continue.

She says while giggling at Blake.

Her actions make Avi become more and more frustrated.

Avi: Kirstie I am trying to talk to you. It's kind of rude not to look at someone when spoken to...

Kirstie: What?

She asks from not listening.

He closes his eyes and takes another deep breath.

Avi: STOP LOOKING AT BLAKE!

He snaps.

Kirstie jumps and looks at Avi.

Kirstie: Would you calm down?! We're in public!

Avi: I don't care! You're staring at the waiter, not listening to me when I'm talking to you and completely ignoring the fact I'M YOUR BOYFRIEND!

Kirstie: I can look at Blake all I want! YOU stare at other girls and I don't say anything!

Avi: I don't FLIRT with other girls! I just see them as I look around! YOU, on the other hand, haven't stopped FLIRTING with BLAKE ever since we showed up! Being in a relationship obviously doesn't mean anything to you, does it?!

Kirstie: Well if that's how you feel, maybe we should just break up! Maybe there shouldn't be a Kavi!

Avi: Fine with me!

They yell at each other.

Avi storms out of the restaurant.

Kirstie sits and watches him leave as Blake walks over to help her.

Blake: Hey, everything okay?

He asks as he softly places his hand on her shoulder.

She stares at the door where Avi left.

Kirstie: Not now, Blake.

She says softly as she brushes his hand off.
