Chapter 1.

(Gino's POV)

Maddie.

Just the name itself is perfect. It has a lovely ring to it. She has that dazzling smile, and the sparkling eyes that will make anyone fall for her. Actually, not just anyone.

For the moment, me.

I remember when the horrible producers of Dance Moms decided to cook up a love story between Maddie and I, back in Season 3, and I denied it. I spent a whole month trying to tell people that the whole love connection was far from the truth. At that time, it was. I wasn't really a Candy Apple after all, I was from Dance Attack Miami. I had other friends and other girls who I could have crushes on, but after that first month of denying, I crumbled.

One day, I found myself lying on the bed, just thinking about life. And there is only one name that comes to my mind. Maddie.

That's when I think to myself, I have got to get back in touch with Maddie.

The next time I was at the studio, I asked my dance teacher if we were going to a competition soon. He said we were, to In10sity talent competition in Pittsburgh, of all places.

Pittsburgh, which means ALDC, which means Maddie.

And now that my dad has quit being on Candy Apples, the cameras aren't going to follow me around all the time. That is, if Maddie is even going to be at the competition..

When nobody was at the studio's front desk, I snuck in. My eyes scanned the entire desk looking for a phone number. I gasped when I found it. The In10sity's competition director. I had to call him and ask who was coming to the competition.

I copied the number to my phone and snuck away to the bathroom.

I dialed the number slowly, rethinking my options. The options were Maddie, or no Maddie. In order to find about about ALDC, I had to fake being a teacher. I picked a random name, Tom, for my charade. I took a deep breath and continued dialing.

When the director picked up my call, with the most manliest voice I could, I said,

"Hello, this is Tom from Dance Attack Miami. We  are going to  attend you competition in Pittsburgh on Saturday. We would like to know if there are some, er, important studios we should look out for.'

After a pause, the man replied

"Of course, there is the Studio Red, and Pink Chiffon Dance Center, and, you know, the Abby Lee Dance Company is going to attend. They are always a studio to beat.'

My heart soared. She was going to be there

"Great', I replied, "Thanks a lot"

I confidently hung up the phone. I intended on reuniting with Maddie, right at the competition.
