A New Beginning

Chapter 2

(Maddie's POV)

It ws a normal Monday afternoon. All the girls at the dance studio. All the moms fighting about something. All the cameras following us. We already had pyramid and we were working on the group dance, Sophisticated Glam. I really like this dance lot. This is one of the few times when I'm not featured, and I'm glad. Featuring me is like an invitation for the moms to fight.

Anyway, I also have a solo called Breathless. Miss Abby says its supposed to make the judges 'breathless'. I have to portray being in love.

I don't know anything about being in love.

I remember when the producers of Dance Moms made it seem as if Gino liked me or something. I didn't realize that texting a guy meant dating. I denied everything. Miss Abby also told me that the boys from Stars Dance Studio, and Dance Attack Miami are going to be there. I'm not worried. I can beat any guy.

The week goes on, and the major thing going on is Christi and Jill. They are fighting a lot lately, to think that it started over just Jill asking for a featured part in the group dance. Actually, that is a good thing, since the cameras will be focusing more on Christi and Jill at the competition, and I hate having the cameras on me at any place except the dance floors. 

The girls, and I get on the bus, super excited. I spent most of my time with Kendall, we watched Pretty Little Liars, and we talked a LOT. In the middle of th bus ride, Abby gave us all special frosted sugar cookies as a treat. We loved it. This was a side of Abby you don't get to see on TV.

We all arrived at the local high school in about half an hour. The competition was in Pittsburgh, after all. We walked in and fans surrounded us. Miss Abby took us into our dressing room and we unpacked our stuff and put on costumes. 

This was exciting. I was always excited at a competition.
