A traveling monk was walking through the village, seeking for those who were qualified to be enlightened. On his left side, he caught a sight of a mother who was feeding her child. He felt his legs moved on their own towards this mother.
Of course, nothing special you'd find about it. However what caught monk's interest was not that he wanted to admire motherly affection, but this mother was repeatedly feeding her child. The child would puke the food, but stubborn mother kept on shoveling food inside her child's mouth.
Monk raised his voice in order to stop her. "Wait! Stop it. If your child doesn't want to eat. Why in the world you're so bent on feeding him?"
Mother turned around and saw this radiant looking monk, her head bowed and palms came together to greet. "His Holiness," she said, "You're right. My child is naughty. He doesn't eat enough food and to annoy me he pukes it. However, I felt that if I kept on feeding him at least something will stay in his stomach."
At least something will stay in his stomach, these words brought a train of realizations in monk's mind. He came up a realization that this mother's love can be compared to the compassion of God
All-merciful Lord send saints every now and then in this world to enlighten people with transcendental knowledge. It's an unfortunate thing that we always forget it, only to give in to our lower impulses and stooped to negativity.
Just like this mother, even God doesn't stop feeding us with His wisdom no matter how many times we puke it.
