*City of Melbourne*
Stepping off the plane I breathe in the Australian air and am immediately hit with a wave of unbelievable heat.
"I didn't realise how hot it would be here, Elena". I say to my best friend who is desperately trying to lug off her carry on.
"Me either. Why did we move here again?"
I roll my eyes and while walking to the baggage claim I respond, "Rejected and left pregnant by an asshole Alpha."
"Oh yeah that. Couldn't you have picked a cooler place?" She whined still struggling with her luggage. "Ugh why is this so hard?"
"Maybe you shouldn't of worn 6inch heels wile trying to cart your overfilled luggage halfway across the world."
"Hey, don't hate on the heels. They're gorgeous, how could I not wear them?" She huffs while blowing the hair off her face.
"Where do you think my Aunt Liza is?" I question while scanning the arrival lounge of Melbourne Airport.
"Is that her over there"? Elena asks pointy to a disheleved redhead running into the building holding a sign with the name Alice Wardley.
"Yes thank god I thought she would never get here, I really need to lie down". I breathed a sigh of relief.
My body had started to ache with each mile I travelled away from Caiden. The moon goddesses way of making sure mates weren't away from one another.
"Alice, it's so good to see you, I haven't seen you since you were 10 years old." Aunt Liza says while wrapping me in her arms.
"It's been too long". I say while enjoying the feeling of warmth of being comforted by family. "This is my best friend Elena, Elena my Aunt Liza".
"Its nice to meet you Elena, I'm so happy you guys decided to move out here. I haven't had young people in my house in years." Aunt Liza says while helping us with our luggage and motioning us to her car.
"Well we are so glad you were able to help us and let us stay with you". Elena says, stuffing her overfilled luggage in the trunk of the car.
"Of course, now lets get you guys home so you can rest and unpack before we show you around town".
I stare out the window of the passanger seat wondering what this new future holds for me.
