"Hailey, my name is Hailey"
He scans me from top to bottom; you can tell he's already made up his mind about me, " So... Hailey why do you think you deserve to come to the impeccable St Dunstan's (one of those snobby high schools in England), what makes you unutterably...unique?"

Now, I had two choices. Either I really suck up to this introvert or I give him a piece of my mind, so of course, " I feel St Dustan's is an opportunity for me to have a fresh start, a new awakening into a new world. I'm young, independent, smart and with the guidance of my fellow students-to-be and all the 'charming' teachers-like you I might add- I could really become something among all these wonderful girls and boys."
I know, I know you must be thinking 'wow what a suck-up' but I honestly need this. I've been expelled TWICE and this school is my last chance before (dramatic music please) BOARDING SCHOOL! So here I was in this cooped up office pulling out all the stops. Tragic isn't it? How only last week I couldn't care less. A distant memory, almost.......

LAST MONDAY

My mum's voice echoed around the entire house, "Darling, hurry up! You're going to be late and it's your first day! You must make a good impression after your last school!"

Ugh. School! What's the point? It's not like you learn anything important you don't already know. For example, what's 2+2-1 that's 3 quick maths. See? Anyways, I got expelled from my last school and my mum won't get off my back about it. Maybe what she's more annoyed about is the fact that it wasn't the first? I don't know. Just a theory. So I wa-
"OWWW" I screamed as a pillow slammed me right in the face, "what was that for?!"

"Tuis is your first day at ur third school and you better NOT be LATE; now get your butt out of that bed or will I have to do it for you!?"

So as you can probably guess, I got my butt off the bed and made it to school. ON TIME. So what a wonderful start, right? As I emerged from the bus, the massive school building towered over me like a giant on a speck of rice. Like a giant on an ant. Like a... like.... I think you get my drift. It was huge. Enormous. I felt like a midget. Slowly, I moved towards the entrance. There were so many people. I didn't know who to talk to or who to go to about who talk to.

Then as I made my way to the counter, " Move it, some people are trying to move around freely you know?"said a guy about my age as he brushed against my shoulder and left me to pick up my books which because of HIM were lying all over the ground. I repeat, SUCH a wonderful start.
