School (in my opinion)

'Miss Manning, is that you?' I heard a very quiet yet deadly voice burst out from behind me. Oh no! Please don't tell me it was-
'Mrs Darcy what a pleasant surprise, it is such an honour to be meeting you here; like this,' I looked down as I just realised I was still bent down on the floor looking up at her, 'I can assure you I do not usually play on the floor like a dog' I laughed, forcefully trying to break the rather awkward silence.
She glared down at me, 'We do not teach animals here Miss Manning and I sure should hope you do not like playing on the floor otherwise maybe the park would be more suitable for your...needs.'
She began to walk away; she was incredibly swift-then came to a halt, 'and do get off the floor'.

Okay, so maybe I didn't quite have the great introduction I had hoped for with my principal but it's all good. Her and my mum are tight so that just makes my life easier.
I mean, mixed schools are awesome anyway, right? I know in those American teen movies you have the (stereotypical might I add) : jocks, cheerleaders, nerds, band members and all that stuff but this is real-life high school.  Not a movie. My mum however would much more prefer it if I went to one of those snobby private schools for girls and learnt how to speak with 'manners'. If I called her 'mother' once I bet you she would cry of happiness, but that's very nearly impossible after my last school. I barely even made it into this one.

Gladly though because those private schools are the worst! The girls are terrible! They spawn drama from the most ghastly things, gossiping is like a second-nature to most (you never know HOW to watch your back when people keep stabbing at it from different directions), they can be so petty, demanding, annoying and so on and so forth and what have you.

Mixed schools just have a lot more...definition; it's so much more exciting. You get to figure out who YOU are instead of having to live up to incredibly unlikely expectations- I mean come on, some of the kids here drink already so not much to live up to.
I even think that one over there behind the bins is smoking. Yep, this semester was going to be a great one.
