Addison's POV

After Niall broke up with me, I demanded Amelia to take me home to let me go to bed. Which I did, but not without shedding a few tears.

Well more like shedding enough tears to create a new lake.

Did I upset the gods in some way? Was this my punishment?

It's been a couple of weeks since the event of our breakup took place. Word got around that we broke up pretty quickly. Almost as quick as the hickies from God-only-knows-who on Niall's neck.

I'm going to pretend that maybe there was an opponent who liked to bites people's necks. But we all knew the truth.

"Addison, I love you but you look like shit." Amelia sighed as we got ready for our classes.

I examined my face in the mirror, my eyes puffy from yet another tearful night I had.

"And to be quiet honest, I don't give two shits. Might as well look the way you feel." I sighed, putting my hair up.

"Shit, Addison. When are you going to get over this?"

"I don't know. It's kinda hard to move on when that's all people are talking about or he's sporting a new mark on his neck." I groaned.

"Maybe he caught an STD?"

I rolled my eyes, giving her my infamous death glare.

"It was a joke, stop looking at me like that." She defended, closing her mascara bottle.

"Can we just go get food before class please?" I rested on the door frame as she applied lipstick.

"Sure." She smiled, finally ready to leave.

We got our bags and things before heading to the cafeteria.

We entered the colder building, heading straight for the pasta/salad side.

And as if my life didn't already suck, in walks Niall with girl number six of the week.

Not that I was counting.

I tried to avoid eye contact or simply looking at him. But of course, he's a magnet to my eyes and I glanced at him more than once.

The girl on his side laughed at something he said and I felt my stomach churn.

"Ads, c'mon babe. Don't look at him." Amelia snapped me back to reality as we left to pay for our food.

We sat a table in the corner away from everyone else, eating in silence.

"If it makes you feel any better, she isn't as pretty as you." Amelia offered.

"It doesn't."

"I feel like this is my fault." She admitted.

"Why?" I questioned, taking a bite of my chicken alfredo.

"Because I made you go to that dumb ass party."

"You're not the one who made Niall make out with that girl and dump me." I frowned.

Amelia breathed in deeply.

"I'm just really surprised. I mean if he had done this months ago, I would've said 'I told you so.' But you two just seemed so in love, it seems unlikely he would just drop you like that." Amelia snapped her fingers to show just how quick 'that' was.

"He said he had stopped loving me for some time."

"It just all seems so unreal. I'm sorry."

I shrugged. Nothing I could do now.

I ate the rest of my pasta dish before it was time to head to our classes.

I threw away my trash just as girl number six was throwing away her plate.

Of all fucking garbage bins, she chooses the one I go to.

Lovely. Just lovely.

I gave her a dirty look before quickly joining Amelia. Luckily, I didn't have a class with Niall today.

Not that it really mattered, my mind always went back to him.

"That was an intense stare down.." Amelia commented as we walked to our classes that were in the same building.

"Yeah, well she can kiss my ass." I rolled my eyes, entering the building.

"Alright, I'll see you later. Try not to have too much fun in class!" Amelia smiled, giving me a half hug before walking down the hallway opposite of the one I have to go down.

I slowly walked to my class, sitting in the corner of the room. I ignored every one staring at me like they always do as the wait for the professor to start his lecture.

I got my notebook and pen, and watched and waited with my peers.

-

The hour lecture felt a lot longer than hour. Not only was the professor boring, the kid next to me would not stop breathing so loudly. How do you tell someone to not breathe so loudly?

"Hey, you. Stop breathing please."

I basically ran out of the class as if I was just given freedom for the first time. I walked outside to warm up a bit and wait for Amelia who joined me after ten minutes.

"Finally a person I don't want to punch in the face!" She smiled, giving me another hug, "Well not right now at least."

"Touché." I smiled back.

"Alright, let's head back to the dorm please. I'm exhausted." She closed her eyes and swayed back in forth.

"I agree. Let us be off."

We were walking back to the dorm, talking nonsense, when we passed the windows of the gym. I couldn't help but peek in.

Bad idea, I must say. Niall and James were sat on a bench in the middle of the gym, deep in conversation. Niall looked confused and James looked rather bored.

"My god, they're freaking everywhere." Amelia whispered when she noticed what I was looking at.

"Yeah and if I keep looking any longer, you're going to have to hold me back into going in there. Bad idea to stop, let's just go back." I sighed, returning to walking back.
