Something soft was caressing my cheeks and I couldn't help but moan in response. As soon as the noise left my mouth, a hard smack made contact with my forehead causing me to jolt up.

Through my tired eyes, I could see my mum perched up on my bed, looking at me with angry eyes.

"What was that for?" My voice felt scratchy as I rubbed my now soar head.

"You want to kill me."

Oh great here we go again what did I do now.

"We haven't been here for a month and you have managed to almost kill yourself." My Mum exclaimed.

"Wait I have no id-" I tried explaining to her that I was confused on what she was rambling on about.

"Don't you dare interrupt me when I am talking to you." She shouted back.

Throughout the years I have realised my mum is not someone to be messed with especially when she was angry. The best option for me in this situation is too just node my head once in a while so she knows I'm listening to her.

"Whoever told me to have a child is a demon because all you've ever given me is high blood pressure. Do you think we are in England? There's no NHS in this country, you have to pay to go to the hospital and it's bloody expensive." Her voice was so loud that it made me wince further into my bed.

Honestly, I have no idea what she was talking about. I've literally just woken up from a rough night to face my crazy Mum.

After a while she seemed to have calmed down and I realised it was my opportunity to calmly respond to her strange antics. " Mum I love you. You're talking rubbish but most importantly remember that I love you."

I tried to disguise my point with a nice comment so she wouldn't recognise that I was lowky being rude.

"Me? Talking rubbish?" Well I guess that plan failed. "Your the one who drank 20 cans of energy drink mixed with coffee."

That's when it dawned on me, my last clear memory was having a shower at Leos house, everything after that is blank. It's like a big chunk of my memory was ripped out of my brain.

How did I get from Leo's house to here, I don't remember walking back. My brain hurts and nothing seems to be making any sense right now.

"Mum how did I get back home?" I asked her.

"You don't remember, I'm not surprised." She scoffed "Well Leo kindly dropped you back home and told me everything that happened."

"Which was?" I dragged on the last syllabus.

"Apparently when you were at Alexis house you wouldn't sleep at all on Monday night and kept drinking a lot of coffee and Red bull instead. So on Tuesday morning you wouldn't wake up even though you were still breathing so Alexis panicked and called Leo. Leo kindly got a doctor to check you out and then brought you back home." My Mum said.

I created a hypothesis, a graph and a conclusion for what my mum just said. Nothing connected which means it's all lies, I couldn't tell my mum that though because she'll just ask me questions until she finds out the truth.

So I was stuck with the option of telling her the truth and get grounded for the rest of my life or agree with this observed lie.
