"Taehyung, what are you doing here?” Seokjin asked curiously as he ran a hand through his hair.

“I was in the neighborhood,” Taehyung said, holding out a small bouquet.  “These are for the most beautiful doctor in the world.”

“You were in the neighborhood,” the older man said, accepting the flowers.  “There is literally no reason for you to be at the hospital, especially if you have your own work to get to.”

“Alright, I was nowhere near the neighborhood and I thought I’d come to bring you flowers, I bought it to a near flower shop." the blonde corrected with a chuckle.  “I thought you could use something nice today, something to brighten up this little office of yours.”

“Well, thank you,” Seokjin said as he set the flowers on his desk.  “It’s nice to have you around again, Tae.  It really is weight bearing.”

“I’m glad you feel that way,” Taehyung said with a hum.  “I was actually hoping we could get together for dinner sometime, like old times.”

“Well, not really like old times,” Seokjin reminded softly.  He used to have dinner with both Taehyung and Taengie, back when he’d first started dating Taengie.  He could still remember that first dinner.  He had been so nervous, worried he would make a horrible impression.  But things couldn’t have gone better.

“Right, sorry. It's just, I really miss him. If I was there, this wouldn't happen.” Taehyung apologized, his face gets saddens.  “But…maybe you’d like to have dinner with me. At least to felt he was still there. I felt my life was lost when he's gone. He's my hero and my defender.” Taehyung eyes have a pricky and wipe it, with his sleeves.

“You know, I’m free tomorrow night,” the doctor admitted.  “We could have dinner at that one place, the sushi one.”SeokJin comforts him. In their situation. Taehyung is the one who hurt so much, he treats Taengie not only a sibling but more than himself.

“I’ll make sure to clear my schedule,” Taehyung said with a sad smile.  “I should probably get going work.”

“Same here,” Seokjin said as he stood up.  “I have to make my rounds.  See you tomorrow, Taehyung.”  The blonde waved and slipped out of the doctor’s office, pausing when he saw someone coming over.

That raven-haired boy from the birthday party.  What was his deal?  Was he a new fling of Seokjin’s?  No, Jin would have said something, right?  Taehyung fixed his jacket a little and headed off, giving a brief nod to the boy.

Jungkook was a bit surprised to see that man from the party again.  And clearly coming out of Seokjin’s office too.  What was up with him?  He shook his head and knocked on the office door just as it was pulled open.

“Oh, Jungkook, hi,” Seokjin said as he came out.

“Hi,” Jungkook said with a smile.  “Are you free to talk for a little bit?”

“I’m just about to make my rounds,” Seokjin admitted, holding up his clipboard.  “Sorry.”

“Well, could I come with you?” Jungkook said, started to walk with the older man.  “I just wanted to…you know…apologize for how I behaved at the party.  It probably upset you, and I’m sorry.”

“It’s alright, I guess it was better than you said something rather than just assuming what everyone else says out there, and did you talk to your brother.,” the doctor said as he headed towards a room.  Jungkook nodded. “Can you just…stay out here for a minute?  I don’t know if I’m allowed to have you doing my rounds with me.”

“Oh, please do..,” Jungkook said, nodding as he stayed put.  Seokjin let out a breath and smiled as he went into the room.

“Hi,” he hummed.  “How’re we doing today?”  Jungkook peeked in, seeing a little girl that had a cast on her leg.  She smiled widely as she talked with the doctor.

“Pretty soon, you’ll be able to climb trees again,” Seokjin admitted.  “Just remember not to go on the small branches by yourself, okay?”

“Okay,” the little girl said with a nod.  Seokjin hummed and checked the monitors before pulling out a thermometer to take her temperature.  “I’m not sick no more.”

“That’s very good, you had a bad fever before,” the doctor said, gently sliding the thermometer over her forehead before placing it behind her ear.  He checked it when it beeped at him.  “98.7, you are as healthy as you can get.”

“Yay,” the little girl cheered softly.

“I have to go check on my other patients, but I’ll come back later with a lollipop for you, okay?” Seokjin promised.  He ruffled her hair gently before he slipped out.  Jungkook smiled widely at him as they headed to the next room.

“You’re really good with kids,” the young male praised.

“I have to be,” Seokjin pointed out.  “It’s my job.  If the kids are happy, then the hospital doesn’t seem like such a scary place.”

“I wish you’d been my doctor when I was little,” Jungkook said with a soft laugh.  Seokjin giggled at that.

“When they invent time travel, I’ll go back and do just that,” the doctor said with a smile.  “Come on, I’ve got a lot of rounds to do.”

“You’re very lucky I was at the hospital,” Jimin admitted as he pulled up to the house.  “Otherwise, you’d have been walking home.”

“You’re always at the hospital,” Jungkook pointed out.  “’Doctor Namjoon, I think I have a fever, could you take care of me?’”

“Shut up,” Jimin said, as he got out of the car with him.  “I don’t ask him to take care of me when I have a fever.  He offers.”

“That’s worse,” Jungkook said with a laugh.  “Hey, what’s with that guy that keeps hanging around Seokjin?”

“Oh, Taehyung?” Jimin said, blinking a few times.  “That’s Taengie’s brother, I told you that, didn’t I?”

“No, you didn’t,” the younger male said, shaking his head as they went inside.  “I didn’t realize…”

“They were twins,” the older brother said with a nod.  “Taehyung had to hear what happened afterward because he couldn’t make it to the wedding.  He had a lot of work that day.”

“That’s awful,” Jungkook admitted.  “Must’ve been really hard for him too.  Especially with it being his twin brother.”

“He hasn’t been around until lately,” Jimin said as he went into the kitchen and got some water.  “He was close with Jin-Hyung too.  He might have even been a little jealous, but it was never anything serious.”  Jungkook nodded.  He kept his thoughts to himself for now.

“Hey, I’m tired, I’m gonna go take a little nap, okay?” he said, stretching a little.  “Get some shut-eye before my shift tonight.”

“Alright, don’t sleep too long,” Jimin said, humming slightly.  “I’ll wake you up if you’re not back in a couple hours.”

“Thanks,” Jungkook said, going over to his bedroom.

So…Taehyung could have been jealous of Taengie.  Was he trying to make a move now that Seokjin was single?  He hoped not.  And while it might be selfish, he wanted Jin for himself.  He didn’t want Taehyung to have him.  Seokjin was his, he would be his someday soon.

He kept dreaming of the man shot at him. He also so saw Seokjin pulling away to the man. He doesn't understand why this dream keeps coming to him...
