Chapter 13

“I love this so much,” Seokjin said happily as he sipped some of his hot cocoa, watching the snow blow around outside.

It had been a few months, things were going well.  He got to spend more time with Jungkook.  And he was getting to see Taehyung more often too.  Namjoon and Jimin had both gotten restraining orders against Yoongi, mostly for Jimin to feel safe again.  Things were good.

He remembered when the younger insisted himself to hire as his personal assistant.

Flashback..

"No! "

"What! " He cooed in shock reaction.

"Jungkook, I can't hire you as my personal assistant. I have already one and despite you have an heart condition. I can't let you in stress" SeokJin setting his file on the desk.

"it's alright doc, this only temporary since your assistant is on vacation!" 

Jungkook is right, he gave his assistant a leave due to emergency matter. 

"Alright! Until my assistant will come back, your going to work here! " the cooed in defeat, he never win to the younger. Jungkook is a fast-leaner, he's already knew the job even in first day. He always with Seokjin even in his rounds. 

"alright, your ankle getting to recover soon so next time be careful! " He ruffles the boy and the little girl with cast asked the other male.

"Hello! What's your name? " The girl asked. 

"My name is Jungkook, how bout you little girl! " Jungkook bent-down to met the gazed of the child.

"Are you a bunny?" The little girl are while holding her bunny stuff toy. Jungkook smile showing his bunny smile. While SeokJin look at him, he had a same smile as Taengie.

A boy pull Jungkook coat and he turn to the 2 boys. 

"Mister! Can we asked questions? "

Jungkook nodded.

SeokJin walk toward them and watching their conversation. 

"Are you Dr. Kim boyfriend? " Jungkook blinked his eyes on the boy's question. 

"No! Maybe husband!" 

"Not yet, why Dr. Kim still his last name!" 

They bicker around in front of Jungkook. They just laugh even Seokjin smile on his lips, he never felt this happy before, after Tangie died, his happiness died also.

Flashback end.. 

“I’m really glad that you like to be around me, Seokjin,” Jungkook said, smiling softly.  “Cause I love getting to be around you.”  The older man hummed at that and settled in on the couch more.

For the first time since he’d lost Taengie…he felt normal again.  Jungkook was the closest thing to Taengie that he had.  And that was saying something since Taehyung was Taengie’s twin brother after all.

“I’d like to think that maybe if things had gone differently, Taengie would be with me like this,” he said suddenly.  “I loved the idea of doing this with my husband.  I just loved the idea of him being my husband.”

“You must have really loved him,” the younger male said gently.

“I did, I still do,” Seokjin continued.  “I like to think that he’s with me, comforting me when I need him.”

“He is,” Jungkook said, adjusting a little.  “He’s always with you, Seokjin.  Right here.”  He touched the doctor’s chest gently, where his heart was.  “He’ll be right there with you whenever you need him.”  Seokjin let out a soft breath and actually felt his heart skip at that.  He almost leaned in and kissed Jungkook right then and there, but he stopped himself.
