Chapter 7

Chapter 7 - Smile again?

As Shadow parted from the hug, Amy stared at him, she asked, "Smile again?"

"Yes....." Shadow replied with a gentle smile as he looked at Amy. "Ever since my friend that was like a sister to me was killed, I've never truly smiled."

"But-" Amy said but was cut off by Shadow.

"But the past is behind me." Shadow said. He walked Amy home and kissed her on the cheek, to which Amy blushed a rosy pink. "Twinkle Park, Sunday, 10am. Okay?" Amy nodded.

Shadow's Point of View

I was walking home along the cemented road. I heard foot steps behind me, I turn around and see nothing.

"Who's there?!" I demanded. "Show yourself!" I waited for a response but I grew impatient. I only heard more foot steps and a grim laughter.

"I am no one really..." a sinister voice said. "I'm just a mere shadow.."

The voice began to laugh again and everything around me was becoming black until I saw nothing..

Amy's Point of View

We were walking into Twinkle Park but the attendant, that we handed over our tickets to, just gave us a refund and said we could come in for free because apparently we were a cute couple!?

I'm not even dating Shadow, well not at the moment, but I don't understand why we were seen as a 'cute couple' so I just took it as a compliment.

While we were at Twinkle Park we go on many rides, like the rollercoaster, the mary-go-round, etc.. The last thing we rode was the ferris wheel. We watched the sun set until, "Its beautiful isn't it?..." Shadow said, I nodded. "But... Its not as beautiful as you."

He looked at me and I blushed. He held my chin up and leaned in closer until we were a breathe away. He leaned in more and-- BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!

Normal Point of View

[Let's fast forward to the day they go to Twinkle Park, Sunday.]

"Huh?!" Amy gasped as she was suddenly awoken by the alarm clock, she sat up. "It was only a dream...." she added, her eyes wanting to close and go back to sleep.

Amy got out of bed and did her daily morning routine. After she took a shower, she put on her 'Sunday's best'. She ate breakfast and left her apartment.

"No matter! That dream will come true today."  she said to herself, happily skipping along. "It will be true love."

A/N

This ain't the climax yet guys! I'll just do a little explaining...

Ever since Amy was young, about 5 or 6 years old, she dreamt about finding true love. She has been best friends with Sonic for a long time now, but she never fell for Sonic because she knows he's NEVER gonna get into a relationship, even with another girl -- basically he's a dork that doesn't know romance.
