Chapter 1

Your POV

I woke up to my alarm on the first day of summer break. I'M GOING TO UNIVERSAL FOR THE WHOLE SUMMER! I jumped out of bed and got dressed. I grabbed my bag and ran downstairs to get breakfast. Mom was standing there making eggs and my dad was packing the car. There was a knock on the door, Madison! I ran to the door to let her in. She walked inside with her bag in her hand, dropped it off with the other bags and we sat down at the table. My mom went upstairs to get my brother.

(this next part is a dialogue so M=Madison & Y= you)

M: I'm so excited!
Y: Me too!
Y: what part are you most excited for?
M: HARRY POTTER WORLD! duh!
Y: yeah! I'm so glad that we're staying for the whole summer!

Now my mom came downstairs looking super disappointed. "what's wrong mom?" she looked as if she had just got the worst news of her life. "we can't go" she said. "WHAT," I said, how could we not go?!? "your brother has a really high fever, I think we need to take him to the hospital." What? Why now! My dad walked into the room once all of the bags were in the car and my mom told him that the ambulance was on its way. He was upset but he pulled my mom into the other room. I got an alert on my phone. I looked and it seemed like everyone in the world was talking about it. Universal isn't allowing anyone but the people who already had reservations from months ago enter the park for the whole summer. It would be so much more empty, the lines would be so much shorter. I continued looking at the other alerts and one of them was from a Finn Wolfhard fan page I follow saying that he is going to universal for the summer! Why did my life do this to me! I could be at universal with Finn freaking Wolfhard with almost non-existent lines for the rides but I'm not. My brother got a fever and now I'm stuck here for the summer! I heard a door open and my parents came out of the room. They had huge grins sprawled over their face. "what?" I said, how could they be excited? "We found a way for you guys to go to universal! " She said, HOW?!?, that's not the biggest question, "wait, you guys aren't coming?" "Nope, " my dad said surprisingly happy. "Why? How?" asked Madison. "kids aren't allowed to walk around the park alone, even teens like your selves. But there are kids groups that have special hotels and they have counselors and groups of different ages. There was no room in the 15-year-old group but because of our situation, they are paying for the whole thing with the money that we would normally get refunded for! And you guys get to go into the group with kids your age so you can make new friends!" Oh my god! We are still going to universal!
