Chapter 5

Chase had been staying at my house for 3 weeks now and it was official. I was his girlfriend, he asked me out after our little incident.

5 days earlier.

"Chase" I mumble groggily as I stumble down the stairs, from the bottom I continued looking for him. As I walked into the kitchen I stopped, Chase was standing over the oven doing something but the smells from the kitchen basically sung and said he was cooking bacon.

"Yum" I said spotting the plate of bacon and slowly made my way over. Even though Chase was on crutches he was still incredibly fast and before I realised he had grabbed hold of my waist and asked where his good morning was.

A bit annoyed I kept on trying to reach the bacon but it was just out of reach. With one last stretch I got hold of the plate but to my dismay the plate crashed onto the floor. "My bacon" I cried as I threw myself onto the floor and just stared. After a while Chase spoke "come on get up, I can't let my girlfriend starve on the ground. So if you were to get up I could make you some more bacon" Chase whispered in my ear. I jumped up and wrapped my arms around Chase them stepped back "so we are going out huh?" I asked sitting on the bench. "Well if you want to be" Chase whispered kissing my cheek then proceeding to cook more bacon.

After eating that delicious bacon I ran upstairs and showered and put on something cute since Chase was talking me out.

We went to a meadow and that was when Chase properly asked me out.

Present

"Leia if you don't hurry up we're going to be late" I could here Chase shouting downstairs, today we find out how much longer until he is better and then we are going to go to the mall for the day.

"Leia!" Chase says again "I'm coming already" I yell. After grabbing the keys we head out to the car.

In the driveway is my mothers car with her sitting in it with a scowl on her face. As I edge closer she hops out of the car. "Really Leia I leave you for 7 weeks, and already your sleeping with a guy. Honestly I don't know what he sees in you you fat bitch. I'm getting my belonging and I'm moving to LA because I can not stand to see you" replied my mother walking inside the house.

Sitting in the car I could tell Chase was not happy with what my mother said "are you okay?" He asked softly placing his hand on my leg "sure, she says stuff like that all the time" was the only reply I could give him.

On the drive to the doctors it was silent. When we pulled up we both silently headed inside and sat down until Chases name was called.

"Chase" said a short bald man that obviously had been working for a long time.

"I'm doctor Edmund. Take a seat" as we both sat down he started going through Chases records "Chase from my records we can remove the cast in 3 weeks" doctor Edmund said smiling.

"Thank you doc" and with that we left.

Once we arrived at the mall Chase dragged me into the home decor shop. "I thought since your mother is moving out I can officially move in and we could redecorate" Chase said as we were walking towards the paint. Chase must of secretly known I had always wanted to redecorate but mother always said no "Chase I love that idea but I hardly have enough money to do it" I replied quite embarrassed that I couldn't afford it "babe I have been living at your house for quite some time now and so it's time I repaid you, and anyways I got heaps of money" Chase said with a wink.

After buying all the paints that we need and Chase basically buying me a whole new closet of clothes 'I did protest' we finally left and with the car full began on our way home. When we arrived my mothers car was gone thank god and after moving heaps of the furniture in the lounge and throwing away what we didn't need and started painting. The lounge was a nice aqua colour and we got in white and black furniture to match it.

After painting the room we both fell asleep in each other's arms.

'No please don't. Please don't hurt me daddy I'll be good I promise. Just no more hurts. NO DADDY NOO!'

"Leia baby wake up its just a nightmare"

Opening my eyes I looked up to see Chase with tears in his eyes holding on to me. "What happened?" He asked snuggling up to me again. "My dad got locked up" I whisper. I didn't realise I was crying till little drops landed on Chases arms. "Shhhhhh baby it's okay, he's locked up so he can't hurt you again" he whispered. Just then the phone rang quickly picking it up I wish I didn't.

"Hello Leia it's the police. Your father has broken out of jail" I just stood there in shock. I didn't even realise that I was crying until Chase pulled me onto his lap and kept me there for the rest of the night.
