Chapter 4

"Leia we need to talk, it's about Chase" turning around there was only Principle Carter standing there. "Ummm pardon?" I asked hoping he said said something different than what I heard. "It's about Chase he's been in a accident" Principle Carter replied sounding a bit worried.

"I know I'm not supposed to do this but I could take you to him if you like" he replied. All I could do was nod weakly and slowly follow him out to his car.

On the drive there it was mostly silent except for the radio quietly humming in the background.

When we got there I hopped out and immediately started walking inside to see him, after talking to the nurse I finally found him.

Laying on the hospital bed I truly realised how bad he looked. He face was a sickly pale colour, he had his leg in a cast and had a bandage wrapped around his head. I didn't realise I was crying till water droplets landed on his arm. Just then the doctor walked in "miss I'm sorry but Chase here has fallen into a coma" then the doctor walked out leaving me all alone.

When I opened my eyes I was in a white room, looking around there was someone standing in the corner as I walked closer I realised it was my mother. "Mum" I whispered standing still. I couldn't believe it. My mother who had been dead for 8 years was finally here in front of me "Chase baby, I've been expecting you" mum said pulling me into a hug.

Me and mum sat there for hours just talking about our lives, then I told her about Leia. "Mum I've found someone special" I said not quite knowing what to say. "I know baby. I've been watching over you for years, and I think she might just be the one for you" we laid there for a little longer. Suddenly mum stood up and looked at me. "Chase baby you need to choose, you can stay here with me or go back to your girl. She misses you a lot Chase." Knowing what I needed to do I stood up and hugged mum for one last time. "I'll always be watching over you my baby" mum said kissing my head.

Then I woke up.

I've been sitting here for 5 days now waiting for him to wake up. The doctor said there is a possibility that he might not wake up but I should look on the bright side. "Chase please wake up" I plead "you know I really do like you I was just too scared to say it because I thought you were lying to me but now I understand that you aren't and I want to spend forever with you Chase, but first you need to wake up" I whisper my voice going dry.

That night I fell asleep next to Chase and I swear his arm tightened around me.

The next morning I woke up to someone nuzzling my neck. I groaned and after a while finally opened my eyes. "Chase is that really you?" What I didn't realise what that it was Chase, and that Chase was awake.

"I heard everything you said" Chase said still nuzzling into my neck. Then the doctor walked in before I could say anything. "Chase since you woke up last night, you can go home today but you need someone their constantly" the doctor said eyeing me suspiciously. "But doc I live alone." "Chase can live with me" I blurred out before anyone else could add anything. "Well it's settled then Chase you will be staying at Leia's house, and also sorry but your on bed rest for 5 weeks" and with that the doctor left.

"Let's go, let's go, let's go" Chase cheered already seated in the wheelchair with his bags. "Alright, alright let me just grab my bag" once I had grabbed my bag I started wheeling Chase out, and since I didn't bring my car I decided to walk home.

A short while later we arrived at my home. "Welcome officially to my humble home" I said sarcastically opening the front door.

Once inside I wheeled Chase into the lounge room and plopped down onto the couch "so where do you want to stay?" I asked "can I stay in your room?" Chase asked shyly. "Ummmmm yeah sure" By the look on Chase's face he was tired to I slowly dragged the wheelchair up the stairs to my room, when we finally got to the top of the stairs I helped Chase onto my bed and fixed his leg. "Please stay with me for a little bit" Chase whispered already nearly asleep.

Silently I hopped into bed next to him, and the next thing I knew I was falling asleep with Chase's arm around my waist.
