FIXED THIS ONE

_______________

A beat up four door car pulled up in front of the hospital. As you walked up to it you could see Yuffie leaning toward the passenger side with a wide grin. She unlocked her car and you pulled the door open with a smile, “Hey, Yuffie.”

“Hi!” She cheered as you got in and closed the door behind you, “How was your day so far? Lot of sick people?”

You chuckled, “You have no idea. You?”

“Like super exciting. Did you know Jenna Tindell, the company owner, got put on a psych hold in your hospital?” Yuffie asked as she began to drive away.

“You’re kidding?” You replied sheepishly. Yuffie worked at GCN, Gotham City News, as a reporter. She had apparently just come from work like you because she wore her bangs pinned back with bobby pins and a business suit. “Is that already on the news?”

“Oh yeah.” She replied nonchalantly, “Though it still isn’t as big as the Batman scoop we had this morning.”

You nodded slowly and went to shift the conversation into another direction, “So lunch? Where are we going?”

Yuffie’s face brightened, “Oh this fantastic café downtown! I hope you don’t mind but I invited some other friends.”

“Sounds good.” You smiled.

“Oh!” She glanced over at you, “Also I wanted to stop by somewhere first. You can consider it the first stop on the tour!”

“Yeah, sure. Where is you have to go?” You asked curiously.

Ten minutes later she was pulling into the parking lot of the Gotham City Police Department. The building was average in size and three stories. Cop cars lined the outside of the building on the side, and men and women dressed in uniform came in and out. Yuffie hopped out of the car and you walked around the car to follow her away from the front entrance.

“We’re gonna visit the MCU. It’s the Major Crimes Unit.” Yuffie explained, “My dad should be here around now and I need to ask him a favor.”

“Oh? Is your dad a cop?” You questioned and followed her toward the back.

She led you to a back entrance and held the door open for you, “Well not really. He used to be for a long time, but he’s the Commissioner now.”

Your eyes widened. If her dad was the police commissioner of Gotham that meant he was pretty high up. Basically in charge of everything that happened in the GCPD. You remembered hearing his name tossed around in the news last week, but you couldn’t recall it. Now that you thought about it, you didn’t even know Yuffie’s last name.

“Hey, Yuffie, what’s your last name?” You asked as she led you down the hallway.
