Surprisingly, I woke up alive and not in a cell of some sort. I was in a bed with some creepy guy staring down at me.
"Uh, hey?" I said nervously.
The guy grinned, a long scar on his face rippling, "Look who's finally awake! I'm Luke."
I sat up, "So I haven't been murdered."
"Yet." He finished. I was starting to like this guy.
"Where am I?" I asked.
Luke suddenly looked nervous. "There's a lot to explain. How about I give you a tour and explain."
He helped me up and we began to walk around. It seemed like we were in some kind of old workshop. There were doors with names on the outside, and long, confusing hallways, but Luke seemed to know where we were going.
I studied the guy a bit more. He was older than me. Probably 18 or 19. Je had sandy blond hair and blue eyes. That long scar seemed important, after all, not everyone had a scar on their face. He had an orange shirt that read "Camp Half-Blood" and a beaded necklace.
I was about to ask what a "half blood" was when Luke spoke.
"So Percy, who are your parents?"
"My mom is names Sally Jackson. She works at a candy store in Manhattan."
"And your dad?" He asked.
"I live with my stepdad, Gabe."
"No, your real dad?"
"Died before I knew him. My mom said he was lost at sea."
Luke grinned and whispered, "Oh yeah. We got the right guy."
I decided not to ask.
"So Perce, mind of I call you Perce? I'm gonna tell you something you probably won't believe. The Greek gods are real."
My mind flashed back to Mr. Brunner's lessons. If Luke was right and not some crazy maniac, was Mr. Brunner some god or something?
"Like Zeus, Apollo, Hera, and Hades?" I asked.
"Better we not use them here." Luke said, "But yes. I'm a son of Hermes. He's the god of thieves and travelers. Not the nicest guy."
"So you're saying my dad is a god?"
"Yes."
"Which one?"
"We can't be sure, but i think your dad is Poseidon, god of the seas, earthshaker, stormbringer, father of horses. He's also not supposed to have kids. So if we're correct, you're a mistake." Luke kept walking.
"Well, that's encouraging." I muttered.
He stopped at a room labeled "Katelyn" and knocked.
"Yo Kate! We got the newbie!"
"Don't call me that!" A girl yelled back and thedoor opened.
The girl (who I assumedwas Katelyn/Kate) had long blond hair that was pulled up into a ponytail. She wore a purple shirt with a laurel wreath and the word "SPQR" in the middle and "Camp Jupiter" around the edge. She had a tatoo on her right forearm that had a bow and arrow, the words "SPQR" and three lines. She looked about 13 or 14.
"What is it, Luke?" She asked, "You interrupted me while reading. Not a good idea." She smiled and grabbed a small pocket knife and waved it around, as if pretending to threaten us.
"Chill Kate." Luke stopped her joke. "This is Percy Jackson, we believe he is a son of Poseidon."
She rolled her eyes, "I know. I was on the kidnapping mission with Noah!"
"Oh." Luke said, "Well Percy, this is Katelyn Walker. Shes a daughter of Apollo, but she's not sunshine and happiness, espically if you interrupt her while she's reading."
Katelyn was about to respond when she touched a small earpiece on her ear. "I gotta go. The boss" she looked nervously at me, "wants to see me."
"Good luck," Luke nodded to her, "And do you think you can give Percy an example of your power later?"
"Yeah, sure." She ran off.

The tour continued. We went through meeting a bunch of people, like Mark, who was a ten year old son of Ares. Or Noah, a son of Hecate. Silena was a daughter of Aphrodite. We were going to meet more people but Luke had to leave with Silena, going back to the Camp Half-Blood place.
So I was left with Katelyn because they seemed to trust her.
I had learned that she was 14, and was a spawn of the Roman Apollo, AKA, Apollo. Confusing right?
She directed me to my room and threw a couple pillows at me.
"Blankets are on the bed. You can make this room more personal later. I'd reccomend going to sleep, you're gonna need it.
For any Expect the Unexpected people, here is where Katelyn came from, woo.
Fun fact: Katelyn is based off me. An annoying 14 year old fangirl who looks like (or in her case is) a daughter of Apollo. And she's Roman because why not. And not to mention, really likes to read
