Preface

There are a few things I'd like to establish first:

The country of the following story is not mentioned in the story (I have a tendency to do that. I think it leaves a little up to the imagination), that being said I am from Canada so the dialect is Canadian

'Mea' is pronounced the same without the 'a', it rhymes with bee, tree, etc

'Mimi' is what the children call their mother, it's not their mother's real name (that will likely be evident later on, though Mimi is what she will mostly be called throughout the story)

There will be scenes and chapters that feature swearing, sexual content, religious intolerance/discrimination, and a magnitude of other things someone could be offended by. Consider this a trigger warning and something resembling a "parental advisory" label.
