Chapter One

Chapter One: Graduation
+I passed! Iruka Sensei passed me!+

Third Person

Konomi sat up in her bed with a loud yawn. She got out of bed and went to the bathroom to take a shower. Once she was done she changed into a pastel blue shirt and navy blue shorts. She went downstairs putting her hair into a ponytail.

"Good morning, Grandpa!" She exclaimed excitingly.

"Good Morning, Sweetheart," Her grandfather said.

"What's for breakfast?" Konomi asked with a smile.

"Eggs and bacon," he replied.

"My favorite! Is it a special day?" She asked.

"Its your graduation exams," He said with a chuckle.

"WHAT!? NOOOO!!! Oops! Sorry for yelling," she apologized.

Her grandfather chuckled and gave her a plate. She ate quickly and went back to the bathroom to brush her teeth. She said goodbye to her grandpa and left.

"I'm gonna be late!" She yelled. Konomi passed the Yamanka Flower shop on her way to the academy.

She waved at Ino and went faster. She had made it to the door and went in. Iruka wasn't there yet. She slid into a seat next to Choji.

"Hey, Choji!" She greeted.

"Hey, Konomi," he said eating another chip.

Konomi doodled until she heard Iruka come in. She looked up and waited.

"Today everyone will take the graduation exam. When one person comes out they will call the next student that we have told them. First is, Shino Aburame." Iruka announced.

Konomi was pretty nervous. She could use chakra, but barley. She had a medical condition that lessened her chakra more then others. It was so bad that she couldn't even make a simple clone correctly. Each kid went in after the next. She was getting more nervous by the second.

"Konomi Namae!" A blonde girl said and Konomi stood up.

She nervously walked inside.

"Konomi, since we know of your medical condition, we have decided for you to battle another student. If you win, you pass. If you lose, you don't pass. Do you understand?" Iruka explained.

"Yes sir!" Konomi had become quite cheerful. Hand to hand combat was her specialty, she was going to win.

"Can you please call in Kiba Inuzuka. He is the one who is going to battle with you," Iruka said and Konomi's smile dropped.

She had a HUGE crush on Kiba, she couldn't fight him. But alas, it had to be done. She left the room and called for Kiba.

"Kiba Inuzuka! Iruka-sensei needs both of us," Konomi called with a smile.

Kiba hopped out of his seat with Akamaru and followed Konomi. They both were in the room.

"We will go outside for you two to battle," Iruka said.

They nodded and followed him outside. They stood in front of each other waiting for Iruka's single to fight.

"Come on, Konomi! Just back down! You know I'm gonna win," Kiba said.

"Kiba, I'm sorry but that is highly unlikely since I only train in taijutsu. Nothing else," She said.

"Go!" Iruka shouted.

Kiba ran at Konomi about to throw a punch. Konomi ducks and kicks Kiba's chin. Multiple kicks and punches were thrown. Konomi kicked up a cloud of dust. No one could see them, when the cloud of dust cleared, you could see Konomi with her fist about to punch Kiba as he was pin to the ground.

Konomi stood up and held out her hand for Kiba. He took it and she pulled him up. Konomi had won against a taijutsu battle between her and her crush. That was something you didn't see every day.

"Konomi has won!" Iruka yelled, Konomi jumped in joy at the news.

"I passed! Iruka-sensei passed me!" She exclaimed.

"Ugh. Does that mean that I have to stay in the academy?" Kiba asked.

"No, this was only for Konomi. So you are going to do the regular exam," Iruka explained.

"Hahaha! Guess what, Konomi! You haven't gotten rid of me yet!" Kiba exclaimed.

Konomi giggled at Kiba's words with a slight blush on her cheeks. She went off to retrieve her head band. She had it on her arm, when all the exams were done, Konomi ran outside. She saw her grandpa and Rock Lee standing off to the side.

"Grandpa! Lee! I passed!" She exclaimed running over to them.

"Good job, sweetheart. Your Grandma would be so proud," Her grandpa said.

"Yeah!" She exclaimed.

"Now that you are a ninja, you and I can he true rivals!" Rock Lee exclaimed.

"Prepare to get showed up by a girl!" Konomi exclaimed.

Her Grandfather chuckled at the two. He looked up at the sky. 'Are you watching, Yuki?' He thought. He looked back and saw the two running to the training grounds. Konomi's grandfather chuckled and walked home. He sat in his chair and looked at a book.

She finally did it. She will have so many hardships. I hope she can take it. Konomi's grandfather thought and fell asleep peacefully in his chair.
