I love hospitals....not

Jack's p.o.v.

I groaned as I woke up, my vision blinded by a bright light. I mumbled, " Oh Christ, please tell me this isn't heaven. "

A girls voice said, " No Jack, this isn't heaven. You're in hell still. "

I blinked my eyes a few times, and saw a girl in a doctor lab coat in front of me. She said, " I'm Doctor Elizabeth, but you can call me Beth. You were....well, to say the least, in very bad shape. The amount of blood you lost should've killed you. It's a miracle you're alive. "

I said, " Tell me something I don't know Beth. I mean, just look at me. "

I looked down at my body, and was actually surprised by how bandaged I was. There looked to be not one inch of my body that wasn't covered in some sort of bandage.

I looked back up, and said, " See what I mean? "

Beth said, " Hm, so charming about such a serious condition. "

I said, " Hey, my cynical ways are everything people everywhere need. "

Beth rolled her eyes, and said, " Out of all the patients in this whole god damn hospital, I get him. "

I chuckled, and said, " I'm not always a dick. I just make every situation seem less severe by joking about it. "

Beth eyed me, but nodded slowly. She said, " That girl you were with wasn't very well either. It's a good thing she is immune as well, otherwise she would've turned with that bite mark on her arm. "

I froze when she said that, then nervously chuckled and said, " Yep, good she is, I wouldn't have the stomach to put her down..."

Beth noticed how I grew sad, but thankfully she didn't push it. She said, " We got her onto an iv, and she has stabilized. Although she was shirtless for some reason, that teal bra of hers was out in the open. "

I said, " What?! Dammit Vanessa! Why would she do that?! There are so many pervs in the world who would love to hurt her! "

Beth said, " Whoa there tiger, relax, she is in a safe place. No one here would ever hurt another human, we have infected for that. "

I took a deep breath to calm myself, and said, " Where is she? "

Beth said, " She is in the room next door, my daughter Rose helped her into the room. She practically begged me to do it. She has taken a shining to your Vanessa. "

I took a moment to process that, then started to laugh softly.

Beth tilted her head, and I said, " Vanessa likes girls Beth. Its bound to happen. "

Beth said, " Nope, I know Rose, she wouldn't do anything like that. "

I rolled my eyes, and said, " Yeah, yeah. Now can you please help me up? "

Beth said, " For the bathroom? "

I said, " No! Don't be stupid! Im gonna go outside and see what kind of community you have here! "

Beth instantly said, " No, under no circumstances are you allowed to leave your bed. My orders as your doctor. "

I said, " We both know I'm going to do it anyways, so why not help? "

Beth shook her head, and said, " No jack! "

Vanessa's p.o.v.

I rolled over in my bed, having been awake for I think around two or three hours. I honestly don't have a clue anymore.

I sighed and sat up, reaching for the food on a plate to my left.

I stopped as the door opened, and that cute girl I saw walked in. She yelped and said, " I-I'm sorry if I woke you up! "
