(Unknown POV)

I'm brought back into the conscious world by the light of the sun. I sit up and glance over at my copy. I really need to thing of something to call him. Hmmm...... what about that sound that the five creatures kept saying? Vikk, I think. I don't know anything called 'vikk' so I guess that's what he is. A vikk. Now what do do with him? I have to make sure that he's safe, that way I can go find my winglet. If I've never seen him before, then the vikk's home must be on the other side of the river. I quickly make up my mind and pick the vikk up.

Even though he's the same size as me, I can easily lift him. I start to follow my trail from yesterday when I went to the river. Everything is burnt. Ash drifts through the air. Luckily the fire put it out pretty quick, and the burnt area isn't very big. It could of been a lot worse. As I enter the un-burned area, the black object start to buzz again. I retrieve it from the vikk's pocket and slide the green arrows. The same voices blare from the object. I growl at it and punch the red again. The forest now seems really quiet. I start to whistle the three-tune melody, the vikk still limp in my arms.

The river comes into sight, and my whistle stops. The sounds of rushing water was covering it, but now I hear something. It sounds eerily like the noises from the black object. Are they looking for the vikk? Are they other vikk? Maybe I should let them know I have their vikk? I stick with the idea and quickly lay the vikk on the ground. I then break a stick and quickly climb a tree. The stick was pretty big, so it made a lot of sound. The sounds rise and start getting closer to my hiding spot. My instincts tell me to run, but my heart says to stay and watch.

Five other vikks sprint into the clearing. They see the vikk I was carrying, and instantly rush over. They screech and make enough sound to alert the whole forest, but eventually leave, the tallest carrying the vikk I saved. I wonder why my heart is sad to see him go?

(Vikk's POV)

I wake up with blurry images and faint sound going through my head. Of laying on a stone floor with the smell of mint. Of being carried. But most of all, a three-tune melody. The tune repeats in my head, filling my mind with the familiar melody. But I can't remember from where.

I'm then brought back to the present from my name being shouted. I moan and open my eyes to see Rob, Peston, Mitch, and Jerome leaning over me. They all shout and yell over each other, creating a jumble of sound that gives me headache. I then hear someone yell, "SHUT UP", at the top of their lungs. We all look over to see a nurse standing in the door way. "He just woke up for peat's sake! All your yelling will only scare him!", she scolds them. My four brothers all slouch down and look embarrassed. The nice lady soon leaves.

"Where the heck were you last night?", Rob whisper yells. "I'm not quite sure......", I mumble. "We called your phone, but someone else picked up", Preston exclaims quietly. "Yeah! And they only said your name the first time, and nothing the second", Mitch adds. "I think there was a fire? And mint maybe?", I question. "Mint? Are you sure you didn't hit your head? The fire yes, but I didn't see any mints", Jerome says. "Anyway, we found you passed out by the river in the woods. Your ankle was twisted and wrapped up in some cloth. But you were pretty far from the burnt part of the forest", Rob explains. "I could've sworn I was farther out......", I mumble. "The doctor said you could leave as soon as you woke up, so let's go! It's really boring here", Mitch whines.

I laugh and push myself up into a sitting position. "I'm not using a wheel chair", I pout and hold my arms out to Rob. He groans and then picks me up. He supports my legs while I wrap my arms around his neck. "You so owe me after this", he mutters under his breath. "Tank you big bubber", I say in a baby voice. He huffs and carried me out of the room. Mitch, Jerome, and Preston run out behind us. They're so childish.

And that's how we exit the hospital. Me being carried by my older brother, and my other brothers darting around us. I wonder how Rob hasn't gone insane yet? He puts me in the front passenger seat before going around to get in himself. The other three pile into the back. Rob drives a van, because it's the only things that can hold all of us, plus some extra room for groceries and things like that. We rented a truck to go camping once, and were all squished together with the camping supplies.

It doesn't take long to get home, and Rob carries me up to my room. He doesn't want me to attempt to climb the stairs until my ankle is better. But one thing sticks in my head as I lay down to sleep. The repetitive sound of a three-note melody.
