(Vikk's POV)

I wake up in my bed. What time is it? What was I just doing? That's when the memory of the last few hours came back to me. Lachlan. The guys probably won't let me leave the house until my ankle is healed. What if they don't let me go back to the woods to look for Lachlan!? I know it was him, I'm sure.

I sit up in bed and see the window pulled open. Rob must of opened it when he put me in here. The music box sits on the little table next to my bed. I grab it and hold it in my cupped hands. How do I convince my brothers that my twin is still alive after 11 years? I guess that I won't be able to until I find him. I wonder if Lachlan even remembers me? He did help me in the fire, and he remembers the music box, so surly he knows that he's my brother. But why didn't he stay with me after taking me across the river, then?

My thoughts are interrupted by knocking coming from the door downstairs. I hear voices, and someone getting up to answer the door. I listen to the muffled voices of Rob and whoever is at the door. I hear Rob shout. He sounds angry about something. The conversation suddenly stops, and I hear footsteps on the stairs. I look up as my bedroom door opens up. "How long have you been awake?", Rob immediately questions. "I only woke up a few minutes ago", I answer truthfully. Rob sighs before walking over and picking me up. I squeak and wrap my arms around his neck in surprise.

Rob carries me down the stairs with my head on his shoulder. This is preventing me from seeing who he was talking to. He plops me down on a kitchen chair and crouches down to unwrap my ankle. Only then do I see the two police officers standing beside the closed door. They eye me down, and I slouch down in my chair. "See! I told you he never left. His ankle is way too swollen for him to fight off cops", Rob says while lifting up my foot to show the officers my purple ankle. "But the DNA sample matches his! You can't really fake DNA", one of them argue. "Ok, what's going on here!?", I interrupt.

"We received a call that someone was crawling in and out of a house from the 2nd floor window. We fought the person after he tried to run. When we got him to the station, he had somehow gotten out of the had cuffs. He was bleeding and left blood on the ground before he got away. We tested the blood for DNA which brought us here, because the DNA sample matches yours", one of the officers explain. My heart skips a beat when this sinks in.

"If you got hi to the police station, then cameras must of recorded him. Can you show me the video!?", I beg. They seem a little confused, but one brings out her phone to show me. I watch the screen to see the blurry image of a police car pull into a garage. A few officers stand by while one opens up the back door. A small and blurry figure jumps out of the car and tackles the man to the ground. He gets up runs out of the building. The video is in black and white, but I can clearly see that the person has very light hair, the opposite of mine. "That's Lachlan!", I say while staring at Rob, "I told you he was alive! We have to go look for him!". Rob stares at the video in disbelief, and I can see Preston, Mitch, and Jerome peeking around the corner from the living room.

"That's the problem", the female officer starts, "He was hit with a knock out dart before he got away. He should of been instantly out cold, but he somehow kept running. That stuff is strong enough to get a bear, so I doubt he went far before falling asleep. But now....... we can't find him anywhere". "You mean he is somewhere knocked out and completely undefended?", I ask with horror creeping into my voice. She only nods.

This is when Preston creeps into the room. "Can I see the video?", he asks. I nod and hand him the phone. He watches it before looking back up and smiling at me. "When Mitch, Jerome, and I were on out way back from GameStop, a boy with blond hair crashed into me. He looked a lot like you, so I bet it was Lachlan!", he cheers. "We have to go then!", I say while pulling myself to my feet. My ankle throbs, but I push aside my pain and limp out the door. My brothers follow me, as do the police officers. "We appreciate your help, but I think you would just scare Lachlan away if you found him, so we'll handle this for now", I tell the officers. They hesitantly nod and leave us to get into our car and start searching.

     Don't worry Lachlan, we're coming.
