Dragons have served humans for as long as Idra can remember. The mighty dragon empire that the elders told her of has disappeared, leaving nothing of the wild tribes but small bands of dragons and lone drakes scattered across the vast continent. Dragons are now all but domesticated, used as beasts of burden, mounts, and entertainment for humans, elves and the various tribes of Sumaris.

But when Idra has a chance to escape her prison, she eagerly takes it, following two dragons that promise to bring her to freedom.

So long as she helps in the rebellion, that is.
