Stuck in a haunted house with the school hottie/jerk... part9

Recap:

"Wow, I'm sorry Estella. Do you miss your mom? Do you still get all those human emotions?" I should have known Damien would ask all these questions.

"I am a demon so I only miss my mom or feel those emotions when I disguise myself in my old body. That's what I don't like about what I am, Damien emotions aren't a weakness no matter what anyone says, they're like a gift." Damien leaned down and kissed me, it was gentle which is odd for a demon. All we know is rough and cruel. I know Damien's always craved to be human. Everything about humans fascinates him. I know I love Damien and if he could

feel love I know he would love me too.

That's why I need Julie, she doesn't know yet but she comes from a long line of witches and I need her. I need to her to turn me back to being human. Me and Damien.

Julie's P.O.V

I was happy Ryan asked me to be his girlfriend; I really do care about him. I know he cares about me too, but I can't help but feel just a little worried. He's the school player! He's slept with almost every girl at the school. I don't want to be another one of his weeklong girlfriends, but I do care about him and kissing him right now makes me think he cares about me too. The way he holds me when he's kissing me makes me feel like he's afraid I might disappear. I wrapped my arms tighter against his neck reassuring him that I'm not going anywhere. He pulled back.

"Julie, where's Estella?" shit, I forgot about her! That girl shouldn't be left alone. That's when I heard the barking dogs running down the stairs toward us.

These things weren't exactly dogs. They looked like giant hairless wolves. They were all a nasty black color. It looked like their skin had been burnt. They had long deep gashes all over their face and body, and they were eyes were a dark glowing red. The dogs stopped in front of us and snarled. Their teeth were long, sharp and stained with blood.

"Ryan, what the hell are those things?" I looked at Ryan; he had pulled me behind him in protective way.

"These things are blood hounds. They like to...'play' with humans." Said a deep, seductive voice. I looked up at the top of the stairs and there was a very sexy guy. He looked about 17 and was wearing all black. His shirt was a black v-neck, and very tight. It left little to the imagination. Wait, what am I doing? I have a boyfriend; I shouldn't be trying to imagine this guy shirtless, but there was something about him that made me want to rip off his shirt and do very bad things.

"Who are you?" Ryan's voice broke me out of the trance I seemed to be in.

"My name is Damien, pleasure to meet you." He held out his hand for Ryan. Ryan looked at it unsure, then he reached to shake it. He pulled it back quickly as if Damien's hand had stung him.

"Burns doesn't it? Lesson number one my friend is never shake a demon's hand." Said Damien. Ryan was clutching his hand in pain. I noticed Estella for the first time. She seemed to be petting one of the four dogs. I looked up at Damien, he smirked at me then turned back to the dogs. "Get them" was what he said before the dogs started snarling and walking towards us.

Ryan and I began to walk backwards, the dogs jumped and fell over as they were snapping at our faces. One of them grabbed my left arm and I tried to break free, but it held on harder. Then I heard a bone snap, then my left arm went numb.

"Damien stop!" I heard Estella say and the next thing I knew I was flung against the wall and everything went black.

"Damien I need those humans so either you call back demon dogs or you could get out of my house!" Estella screamed and you could tell she was pissed.

All the pain in my body grew unbearable, and suddenly it was gone.

"Estella, you looked adorable as a little girl." Damien looked at Estella and gave her a sweet smile; I don't understand why he said that. I saw Damien call back the dogs. I scrambled towards Ryan, he seemed okay, just scared like me. We looked at Estella; she gave us an apologetic smile and turned to glare at Damien.

"Sorry guys, I'll take care of him." She pulled him up towards the attic. I looked at Ryan and he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Are you okay?" He looked at me. I nodded and his tense body relaxed with relief. He brought his forehead towards mine until they touched. "I should have known they wouldn't really hurt us, but I swear my heart stopped when I saw you unconscious on the floor; I thought you were dead."

I gave him a reassuring kiss. He seemed to kiss me back with desperation. Then I realized that we didn't know what Damien was doing here. What if he hurts Estella?

"Ryan, we need to go upstairs, what if Damien tries to hurt Estella? Come one we have to go see if she's okay!" I pulled him upstairs towards the attic.

"Julie, I'm sure Estella can take care of herself." We started tip toeing towards the attic. I heard Damien and Estella talking.

"You never told me what happened that night, and Dad doesn't like to talk about it. Please tell me." The door was slightly open; Ryan and I both looked in. I saw Estella's body on the floor. Damien was holding a girl; she looked like an older version of Estella. Now the comment Damien made earlier seemed to make sense. I looked at Ryan and he seemed to know what was going on too.

We both sat there listening to Estella tell her story. I couldn't believe what she was saying. It scared me; I felt bad because of what happened to her, but could I really help her?
