Thirteen

"Attention"

The loud burst of noise from the speaker made me jump from my laying position.

"We are ready to pull one of you up now but we have to go very slow. I will instruct as you come up"

Both of the guys looked at me, indicating that they voted me to be the first to go up.

"Fine"

Ethan slowly helped me up and towards the center of the elevator.

"Now, there is a big rope coming down. If you don't see it in about five seconds then check the top of the elevator. Tell me when you have it."

I waited about ten seconds but saw no rope so Ethan decided to lift me up so that I could peek my head out and see.

"Ok, I see it"

"Now, pull it down gently and wrap it tightly around your body"

The guys both helped me tie and thick knot around my body, making it secure.

"Now what"

"Now hold on tight"

I began to feel a tug on my body and I began to feel nervous.

"Don't be scared, you're getting out of here"

"I'll see you at the top"

Without thinking, I quickly peck Ethan on the lips as I go up.

His smile was the last thing I saw before it faded to dark.
