Jacob's POV:

When Ciara got dressed, we went to the car. She's asked me where we were going the whole car ride. She was driving me crazy so I put on soft music to make her sleep. It gladly worked and I had a peaceful ride the rest of the way there. When we finally arrived, I tapped Ciara's shoulder.

Jacob: Hey, we're here.
Ciara: Hmm?
Jacob: Wake up.

Ciara gently rose her head and gasped at the scenery.

Ciara's POV:

It was a lake with a beautiful view of a flower field. I've never seen something so beautiful in my life. I'm usually not the kind of person that goes out to enjoy nature but this, this was gorgeous. I looked back at Jacob.

Jacob: Do you like it?
Ciara: Jacob I love it, it's wonderful.
Jacob: I'm glad you do.

He grabbed a basket and a blanket then took my hand. We got out of the car and Jacob sat me down on the bright green grass.

Jacob: Wait here.

Then I saw him pulling a rope to a boat and he looked up at me.

Jacob: Well, get in!

I jumped up and ran towards the boat. Jacob held my hand as I carefully sat inside and he joined me. Then he paddled us into the shallow water.

We talked and talked throughout the whole boat ride. We never had nothing to talk about; we came up with topic after topic. The setting was so relaxing, I've never felt so tranquil before in my life. I mean, being born and raised in New York, peace and quiet is the very last thing you'll get.

When we got out of the boat for lunch, Jacob had a little picnic set up. The sky had just turned into an orange-red color adding on to this peaceful environment. We sat down on the blanket and Jacob took out some finger sandwiches with a bowl of grapes.

Ciara: Where did you find such a place like this in New York?
Jacob: We aren't in New York, somewhere in between. My parents used to always take me here when I was younger.
Ciara: Oh. This place must mean a lot to you.
Jacob: Yeah, it's the only thing that I have to remind me of my parents. When my parents were killed, our house was robbed as well, so everything that we owned was either stolen or destroyed. I have no souvenirs of their existence. Plus I come here to think and reevaluate my life...so I come here pretty often.

He looked out into the sky and watched the clouds. I took his hand and rubbed it with my thumb, he looked back at me and smiled.

Ciara: Jacob, you wanna know the bright side of your story?
Jacob: There's a bright side?
Ciara: Yeah. From what you've told me your parents sound like very good people. And at least for the time that they were alive, they raised you well. Your are a bright young man Jacob, you're smart and very intelligent and you don't even know it. You're sweet and caring and I can tell that you want this relationship to work as much as I do. I don't care about what your job is, I'm very lucky to have you.

Jacob smiled at me hard and pulled me closer to him.

Jacob: I love you Ciara, so much.
Ciara: I love you too Jacob.

Jacob sat in between my legs and we spent the rest of the evening feeding each other grapes.

It couldn't get any better than this.
