Chapter 55:

Jetlag. Is the feeling after the plane trip from Japan to France. And as mentioned in my vocabulary previously, we have arrived with a feeling of diziness.

I yawned as Levi and I put our luggages on the ground. While I was till half-asleep Levi booked a cab.

For goodness sake, I seriously didn't get enough sleep and my back is aching.

My eyes started to become watery due to my yawns when Levi handed me a handkerchief.

"Here."

"Uh-" I stared at him before taking the handkerchief from him."Thanks.." I accepted it and wiped my teary eyes until a cab suddenly arrived in front of the car bay.

A familiar man went out of the car and greeted us which is the only simple French I do understand.

"Bon jour, monsieur Levi." The man I had seen before was standing in front of us. "Bon jour, mademoiselle (r/n)."

"Oh, it's Sir Adam!" I said, recognizing the person and smiling at him.

Sir Adam smiled at me and opened the door for us to hop in and as we did, Sir Adam spoke.

"Monsieur Levi, Où allons-nous? (Mr. Levi, where are we heading to?)"

"Résidence Ackerman, je n'ai pas visité l'endroit depuis un moment. (Ackerman Residence, I haven't been there for a while)" Levi said and smirk. "Et finalement, ils doivent la rencontrer. (And eventually, they have to meet her.)"

Sir Adam chuckled, "Comme vous le souhaitez
(As you wish)"

After speaking language that I was still unaware of, Sir Adam started to drove us away.

I begin to wander around, looking at the places just like before, it hadn't changed at all. The Eiffel Tower was standing-still up high and captured every people's attention.

After a few more drives, we left the city and now entered a place that seems like a village.

I noticed that it was spring and the flowers bloomed on every empty lots and fields around and much more when we finally encountered houses, their gardens were visibly colorful and radiant. But my thoughts were washed away when I started wondering why are we here.

"Levi? Where are we going?" I finally asked him.

He looks at me and smirks. "That's a surprise."

To be honest, I was completely ignorant about what Levi plans here and being lazy to ask, I just didn't bother as long as I enjoy the next days while spending time with him.

"Okaay?" My response sounded like a question, but I just kept my mouth shut until we turned right into a down street, carefully driving.

"Nous sommes presque là
(We're almost here)" Sir Adam spoke that only Levi could understand.

After these guys talked about some stuff, Sir Adam turned the car one last time and we stopped in front of a vintage mansion. It was surrounded with green grasses and tall green trees, it has a walkway and its walls are made of white smooth sandstone slabs and the roofs are made of grey bricks.
The lot was clean and no visible leaves were scattered around.

Once we went outside the vehicle, the view was much better that I gasped in its awesomeness despite the old appearance that I also found creepy.

But at any rate, I still have no clue why we are here.
