i am late for school, again.
I have been like this for a few days now-
staying up late at night just to read a book,
and regretting it the day after.
it is nearly eight o' clock, and the next train is about to arrive.
my knees shake as i run my way through the crowd,
just to reach the train door before it closes,
and i did.
i am panting heavily, and as i look up,
i see you
and your green eyes
flickering of curiosity
piercing right through me.
you are standing,
holding on to a pole, beside an old lady,
who is sleeping as she sits.
but it is only a matter of seconds
before you look away.
i blush.
why were you looking?
i am curious.
i suddenly feel like i want to come up to you.
i want to ask you why you looked at me.
but that isn't something worth asking for,
is it?
you just stared at me out of curiosity,
or maybe
that wasn't curiosity.
maybe,
you just happened to look at my direction.
maybe,
it's just me,
thinking like i am in some sort of a cute love story,
wherein i am the protagonist,
and you are the leading man.
but that is quite impossible to happen in reality,
right?
the train stops.
i am distracted from my thoughts.
it is your time to go.
and before you leave the train,
you look at me,
again.
