Chapter twenty two

*Diablo's POV*

I rubbed my eyes and laid back in comfortable leather office chair, taking a break from the pack papers that I've been working on since this morning. I smiled as my thoughts went to my love, with her violet eyes and silver hair. I can't believe that in a few days we were to be man and wife.

Sasha, my mom and Sinna went to the mall this morning to pick out bridesmaid dresses and of course the brides dress. I won't mind if Sinna wore a potato sack to our wedding. She was beautiful in every way. I heard my wolf howl in agreement.

I looked down to the shiny clock on the wall. Three pm. I wonder where they are? I got up just as my beta, John, came in. One look at his face told me something was wrong, "What's wrong?"

He took a deep breath, "There is flowers downstairs for Sinna". I looked at him confused, "I don't see the problem?" he looked me straight in the eyes, "It reeks of Vampire".

I rushed downstairs and saw Kyle, the hybrid, standing around the flowers on the kitchen table. I made Kyle my Third in Command. I trust him completely. As did Sinna. Kyle's eyes mine, "I don't know how they entered the territory undetected, Alpha. I'm so sorry. I'm a hybrid. I should have known."

I touched his shoulder and said, "It's okay. You couldn't have known".

Ever since we took him in, he has felt like he owed Sinna and I something. He was wrong. We just want  to protect him, make him and his daughter feel at home. I squeezed his shoulder before proceeding towards the flowers with caution.

I took a deep breath, smelling nothing but roses and the foul stench of Vampire. My eyes landed on the white card sticking out between the blood red pedals, Sinna. I took hold of the card and smelled again. Nothing but the smell of roses and Vampire. I opened and read the card softly,

Hereby I wish to give you a early congratulations on your wedding.

I wish it to be a joyous day.

Ps. You will be mine Sinna.

With love, Lillian.
