And with that, your (now ex-) boyfriend, Lewis, left you. You had no idea what this all was about, but knowing him, he probably found someone new and he didn't want to sound weak, so he decided to take it off on you.
You didn't even feel surprised or a bit hurt by his actions. You were relieved, actually.
Behind you, a man looked up when Lewis walked away. You turned around and figured he had been standing there for a while.
You walked up to him, "I'm sorry you had to hear that. Now you probably have a really bad image of me.."
The man chuckled, "Don't worry, I'll start judging you when I know you better."
You smiled, "The name's (y/n)." you said while reaching for his hand to shake it. He took it.
"James."He said and smiled.
