getting better

i brought her into my house and laid her in my bed. i rushed downstairs into the kitchen and grabbed a glass out of the cupboard and filled it up with water. i went back up stairs an gave it to her to drink it. she drank it and then laid back down. i looked at her and pulled a piece of her golden blond hair behind her ear. she was very tired and slowly drifted off to sleep. i went downstairs again to make some dinner for astride and dad once he gets home. i went into the fridge and and found some fish. i grabbed them and put them on the counter to start to de-frost well i started the fireplace to cook the fish on.  i grabbed a medal rod and stuck the fish on it to lay on the stand in the fire so they would cook. the fire finally warmed up and i set them on he stand in the heat.  i went and grabbed the fresh green lettuces from the fridge and started to chop it up.  i took a quick glance out of the window right above at saw the sun starting to set. i knew dad would be home soon. i walked over to the fridge and grabbed some tomato carrots and cucumber. i sliced them all up and put everything in a bowl and started to mix them. as i set the bowl on the counter my dad walked in. "hey dad how was your  day?" i asked. "it was okay. how was your day?" umm....well....i was doing my chief training and i see gothi come running up to me. she told me to follow er and i went to the forest were i saw astrid passed out in hethers arms. then gothi started to check her out. she said that she was dehydrated. i carried her here and laid her down  in my bed since she would need someone to take care of her. so that was my day."wow. that's not at all what i was expecting. i feel so bad about what happened to her parents." dad said. ya me to. 

i just remembered about the fish and rushed over so they wouldn't burn. i took them and carried them over o the counter and started to skin them and prepare them for dinner. i put the dinner on the tabble  and went upstairs to go get astrid for dinner. i went up he stairs and quietly opened the door to find astrid asleep in the bed. i went and sat on the corner of my bed and put my and on her shoulder. i nudged her gently to wake her up. she slowly opened her eyes and sat up. i told her that dinner was ready and i helped her out of bed. she was looking a lot better already.we went back downstairs and started our dinner. we had a quiet night. astrid and i went to bed for the night.

in the morning we woke up to the knock of my bed room door. i got out of bed and went to go answer it. it was my dad. he said that the gang told him to meet him at the arena for training. i close the door and put a new shirt on for the day. as i was about to walk out of my bedroom door astrid started to cake and called my name. 

"dont worry astrid. go back to sleep. im just goignt o meet up with the gang." i said to her. wait hiccup, im coming too. i was going to disagree with her but then i thought about what happened before when i did. we both got ready and ate breakfast and then we headed down to the arena. on the way astrid asked me if anyone knew about us. i didn't think they knew but just to be sure i was going to keep a close look on them just to see that was they look at us.

as we entered we saw the gang talking in a circle and we went over and joined them. they were talking about about what they should practice. befroe the twins or snought lought said anything stupid i said combat training. astrid looked at me all worried and i just kind of gave her the -youll be okay- look. 

ok so we will be doing this a bit diffrently today. instead of only being with one partner all the time, you will battle with one peson for 5 minuts and then swich to a diffrent partner. one person will have to sit out at a time since their is an odd numbe. ok so first to start out you can just battle with you usual parter and then we will rotate."ill sit out first hiccup" fishlegs offered. "ok"i replied.it was astrid and heather, ruff and tuff and snoutlout and me. we all started fighting. snoutlout was easy since he does the same pattern over and over again. 

snoutlout. you need to use a diffrent pattern. i know exactly evry move that you are going to make. of course he didnt listen. we time came and we rotated partners again. i was now with astrid. we started to fight she came over my head with her axe and i swept my foot under hers knocking her on her butt. i gave her my hand and helped her up. we started fighting again and she kept on swinging her axe at me in different patterns. then she grabbed me and thew me on the ground. i just laughed. then we switched partners again. now i was sitting out. astrid ahd sonoutlout. i watched them becaus eit would be funny to watch astrid kick his butt. astrid kept on putting him in a head lock and throwing him to the ground.  i strated to watch some of the other teens battle when i hear somehting i didnt want to hear. 

"ahhhhh. god dam it snoutlout." i hear astrid yell. i look over at her and see her bent over holding her arm. "what the hell did you do?" i yelled at him. "i don't know." he said back. i went over and keeled down putting  my hands on hers and looking up into her eyes. "astrid you need to tell me what happened." she just removed her hand form her arm and it started bleeding a lot. i put my hand back on top of it and told fishlegs to go get some bandages. and came back with some gauze pads and tape. i took it from him and just started to wrap her arm. training was over for the day after that.

we all went to the great hall for lunch. we went and got our lunch and then went to the table in the middle of the room. the first person that talked was snoutlout and said something no one was expecting.
