(Y/n) recently joined Camp Campbell, her parents had forced her to go to. She grumpily sat on the bus, her bag next to her, and she looked out the window. The bus started up and soon her home was farther and farther away from sight. She sighed softly and sorrowfully, deeply resenting the fact that her parents had actually decided to abandon her in a summer camp. She stopped looking out the window from her seat, pouting.
"Fucking shitty ass parents... leaving me all alone in some crappy ass summer camp..." She growled and grumbled to herself. No one else on the bus decided to talk to her, she was on her own.
After a while, (Y/n) decided that she would just sleep through the ride instead of being salty. She had her earbuds in and was listening to music, so she decided to lean her knees on the seat in front of her, slouching in her own seat. She's the kind of girl that will sleep anywhere and in any position, no matter how uncomfortable it may be. She dozed off as her music played and she looked out the window to the sky as her eyelids became heavy, and she was soon asleep.
Bumps of the road and the bus driver's terrible driving skills made (Y/n) lead her to jump and turn in her sleep, yet her eyes remained closed the entire journey to the camp.
Each road, bouncing her in her seat continued until the bus suddenly stopped. The driver had slammed on the brakes, leading (Y/n) to slide face first into the seat in front of her. Now awake because of the face-seat-collision, she figured she had made it to Hell.
"New kid's here." The driver mumbled, just loud enough for her to hear. She grabbed her only two bags, rolling her eyes in the process. She just wanted to be home. She held onto her bags tightly as she made her way off the bus, slow and miserable. The moment she stepped off the bus, she was greeted by a tall man and three kids, the kids holding hands in what looked to be a forced manner.
The tall man smiled down at her, holding out a clipboard, "Well," He began, the smile never fading from his face as he tucked his clipboard under his arm, "you must be (Y/n)! I'm David and this is Max, Nikki, and Ne-" He was cut off by a pleading look in (Y/n)'s eyes. She really wanted to go to her tent, or cabin, or whatever the hell she was sleeping in and wait to leave the camp.
"You must be tired after the long ride here, I'll lead you to your tent. Come on everyone!" David said with the wide smile still spread on his face. She looked over at the kids and gave them a, 'Don't talk to me' look. One of the kids, tan skin tone, blue hoodie, just smirked. The only girl with a smile similar to David's looked at me, too. The other boy just looked away. He looked desperate for no eye contact.
"Welcome to Camp Campbell, a place where your greatest nightmares come true." The kid in the blue hoodie laughed.
"Great," She mumbled back, "I was just so excited to come here. My mom didn't have to force me to come here at all." (Y/N) said in a sarcastic tone and rolled her eyes.
"Doesn't that sound fun?" The boy spoke again.
"Well, might as well get this shit over with. I'm Max," He pointed to the girl and the other boy, "Nikki, Neil." (Y/N) nodded.
"(Y/n), if you didn't hear David." Max laughed. "Impossible to not hear him." She smiled.
"Damn," (Y/N) said and closed her eyes. "I think summer won't be complete hell with you and your quiet friends," She said and smiled.
"Nikki isn't quiet. I just told her to not scare off the new kid. Could be good bait to escape."
"Me? Bait? I'm honored." (Y/N) dramatically said. Max shook his head.
"You don't have to be bait. You seem alright." He ran his hand through his hair. "Just wait for Nikki to start."
