“Jinx! Jinx! Wake up!” Kate yelled.
Jinx groaned. She quickly glanced at the clock and saw that it was 6:30 AM; ugh it’s too early to get up! Jinx thought.
“It’s 6:30 in the morning!” Jinx yelled; she was not a morning person and hated waking up early in the morning.
“Yeah, I know!” replied Kate. “Breakfast starts at 7:00AM and classes start at 8:00, so you’ve got to hurry up and get dressed. You don’t want to be late for your first day right?” continued Kate.
Jinx woke up, for a moment she wondered who had spoken, but then remembered I’m not in the care home anymore! I gotta get ready. “Alright, I’m up. Why do we have to get up so early?” Jinx moaned as she walked out of bed and grabbed her school uniform and bathroom supplies.
“It’s just how things are here.” Kate answered “Oh you can take a shower now; everyone else has already been.” she said.
Jinx nodded and walked out of her dorm section and to the bathrooms. As soon as Jinx had left, Kate quickly grabbed her laptop and signalled the other clique leaders that it was time. Jinx won’t have any idea what hit her Kate thought with a smirk.
The leaders of the cliques (Bridget, Rachel, Andrea the Alphas, Amy and Kate) walked into the centre of the dorm. Bridget switched on the large TV and connected a couple of wires to Kate’s laptop. Soon a video of the student bathrooms could be seen on both the laptop and TV screen.
“Alright it’s ready!” Bridget said with gleaming eyes. The girls watched as Jinx soon appeared on the screen. She was walking over to the sinks brushing her teeth.
When she was finished, she said, “Today’s the big day. Well I better go get cleaned up.” Jinx said feeling nervous.
She walked over to the other door and over to the showers. The girls in the dorm saw the screen flinch for a second as Jinx left but then it switched to the showers.
“Alright girls get ready!” Kate said in the ear piece that Bridget had given her.
The girls then saw Natalia, Andrea and two first years hiding in a small passage near the showers. The four girls quietly crept into the showers and hid behind a closet door; just close enough to see Jinx but not too close that she would notice.
Okay . . . now!” whispered Kate.
As soon as she said this, the two first years made a quick but loud whistling sound. Luckily Jinx didn’t hear it Kate thought as two small pixies with light blue wings flew by, (the pixies were magical creatures that had been around the school for centuries, every few decades a new pixie was born from a magical child's laugh, they lived near the first year’s section and only a few girls knew of their existence.)
“Okay you know what to do.” said Kate.
The first years nodded and whispered to the pixies their instructions.
The pixies nodded; they flew high, higher and higher and then zoomed all the way to Jinx’s shower. Jinx was startled as a sudden sound buzzed in her ears.
