One Night Of Cohabitation

The past three days had been Rick's idea of torment. His idea had succeeded. I was allowed to be in the presence of closed eye Carl, as long as I was accompanied, but was not allowed near him when he had finally woke. I would not be surprised if that was Rick's backstabbing bitch's idea. She leeched to a lie, which she assumed and prayed would keep her partnership, or shall I say more like relationship, with Rick civil, and kept her blood flowing. If only the sheriff knew; I could promise her that he would give her justice but show her little, if any, mercy. That was even if she begged with all her might of will.

She was meant to be the guilty, yet my conscience felt ridden with guilt. I should of went to the gathering and then I could of prevented this. I should of tried harder to get past the guards to see him. I should of tried to make a stronger case of how this was not me, and how they should of let me help him without me needing to keep it secret. It had me and Sky in on a secret, the secret of recovery. The guilt was going to engulf us if I did not do this. The leech had children, and in the end her heart was slightly cleaner and paler when it came to them children, she showed so much love to them. If they knew, they would not show the same emotions back, or even give this a though. Her eldest son was Carl's best friend, they were un-blood linked brothers. So close, that not even this could brake this. Carl had a thang for being a brother to those who he is not related to by blood, unless he somehow was. Truly, I did not need to be blood related to him anymore anyway, we did not need blood to unite us. Unless we are vampires.

Maria was a two-faced beech leech.

Sometimes you have to be the witch to beat the bitch. Cast a spell to break the curse, which was shadowed over hearts.

I opened the door. He had not been sleeping or even attempting to. It was likely the nightmares of this all. A smile shot,(pun not intended), across his face, my way.

"Hello stranger", I smiled back to him, before gently shutting the door behind me.

He was looking more himself, however I would never look the exact same in his eye anymore. It had not took him a lot of training or adjusting to get used to the view of one eye, it was not exactly front row seats of everything or having the full view. Now he can link at the ladies forever, which is as long as he lives for.

Carl did not need two eyes to have the face he had.

I knew what he was about to ask, yet let him ask it anyway, "Hey, before we talk properly, can you maybe get me out of here?"

I smiled a wider grin, "Maybe I should say no to wind you up", I walked over to him, as he pulled himself out of the bed which had been his stay point for the past couple of weeks.

We were in the house. I knew that Rick was out with Judith, because they were crashing at Maria's. Bless their souls. Me and Carl had the house to ourselves so the truth could be told.

I went upstairs, he came behind. His room was the first, but he bluntly walked passed it and came into mine. Since there was a first aid kit in here and that he was sitting on the edge of my bed, I got the kit and stood in front of him, giving him such a view.

He looked up at me, "You tending my battle scar?"

I laughed a little, "You been battling. I could not tell", I looked at him and smiled, "Yes, I am checking over your wound", I began lifting the bandage, but he pulled my hand of, settling it beside me. His hand still on mine, before retracting.

"I'm well. Honestly", He kept the smile of his, which looked so much like our, his mothers. She had a beautiful smile, just like his father did too, and now him.
