Today is the day(part2)

"You may kiss the bride."

Shawn took no time in grabbing my waist and kissing me, the kiss was full of passion, love, care and so many more emotions, during the kiss Shawn decided to dip me, which made me giggle.  We pulled away and walked hand in hand down the isle together, following behind our Bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls etc.

We arrived at the hall in which the reception is taking place. It was beautiful. Me and Shawn were seated at the table at the end of the hall with our families. We enjoyed our meal provided by the venue and now it was time for speeches... by friends and families oh god help ahaha. First up was Geoff.

"uh, guys can I please have your attention..." He started getting everyone's attention. "Now being Shawnie boys best man and best friend, it is my duty to start of the speeches, and trust me this is gonna be a good one..." He continued with a smirk, causing both Shawn and myself to be a bit worried while everyone laughed and became somewhat more excited for this speech. Geoff continued his speech mentioning all the most embarrassing moments throughout me and shawn meeting, to become best friends, developing crushes, first date, dating, etc. Now while most of the embarrassing moments were either about just Shawn or Shawn and myself, there were still a few about myself in there, that not even my parents knew about....

Next we had y/f/n, my best friend.

"Thanks Geoff, for that wonderful and embarrassing speech about the love birds in front of me, with some mentions of me, for god knows reasons.." She started with us all laughing. "Anyways, I've known y/n since oh lord, I don't even know, a long time, I'll just tell you all that, um she was always there for me through everything and I mean literally everything, and when I noticed that she started liking Shawn and then noticed at school he was liking her, I was super afraid she would leave me for him, you know like a lot of people do, but she didn't instead when my dad left, she cancelled her night with Shawn to spend it with me and you know what ended up happening, I called Shawn and invited him over to watch Harry Potter with us, and it turned into a good night, apart from Shawn eating all the muffins." She said while glaring at Shawn whilst he smiled sheepishly. "but after that night I realised I had another best friend in my life and I am so thankful that these two are my best friends and are now married and deeply in love. So if you'd raise your glass for Mr. and Mrs. Mendes..." She finished while everything raised there glass, cheered and applauded. 

Then my father came up and said all he speech, you know all the fathery stuff, about how proud he is of me, and how he didn't approve of Shawn at the start and yada yada yada and that if Shawn hurts me, we will know about it, but it was a very heart warming speech, then my mum and Karen were supposed to come up together but they were still to overjoyed and crying over the fact we were married to give their speeches. "Everyone please join us in congratulating the wedded couple in the first night of the dance, just of Mr and Mrs Mendes." Geoff said cheering as 'don't be a fool' from the illuminate album started playing, Shawn didn't know about this, I told him it was a surprise because I remember when he released this song he wanted it to be played at his wedding. I looked over at Shawn whom was smiling like an idiot before standing up and extending his hand for me to grab, we made our way over to the dance floor and danced all night in front of and with family and friends.

Today was the day I married my best friend and I knew in this moment it was the best day of my life and I can not wait for the memories that I am going to have with this muffin lover in the future.
